Poplar Hall — Attraction in Appleton

My recent wedding ceremony and reception were held at Poplar Hall (5/26/24). When looking for wedding venues, it was love at first sight. The view overlooking the river from the two-story windows is absolutely stunning. But the beauty of the property speaks for itself; what I’d really like to convey is the absolutely outstanding service we received. Nicki Burleson, the manager, is the person you want on your team. Words can’t really express how grateful my now-husband and I are to have had her help along the way. Nicki has a wealth of experience in the event planning industry and went above and beyond the expectations of her role to help us. One example among MANY is that she has great working relationships with other vendors and was able to smooth out the day-of coordination with them directly. She is extremely professional and efficient and gets stuff done! When it became clear that our ceremony would need to be moved inside due to rain, she and her wonderful assistant Avery sprang into action and created a beautiful ceremony set-up inside. I had planned to do decorating myself with the wedding party the morning-of, but Nicki and Avery hardly let us lift a finger so we could focus on getting ready. This is getting too long-winded, but I’ll just close out by saying that now, days later, I get emotional just thinking about how wonderful everything flowed specifically because of Nicki’s contributions and how kind she was to us. Poplar Hall was the perfect venue for our wedding. Now that it’s over, I couldn’t imagine it happening at any other venue, in any other way. Working with Sandy made it very easy for us to arrange everything for our day and get every single question we had answered very quickly. On the day of our wedding, the staff at Poplar was delightful to our guests, and helped to make sure everything ran smoothly. As an obvious bonus, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and having the upstairs and downstairs bar was a really fun way for our guests to experience the full space. Our wedding band loved playing at Poplar and they have all the set up and experience with bands that made it really easy for them to just come in and sound great. Poplar Hall is the most gorgeous venue! It has elements of modern and industrial styling with tons of natural lighting. It was exactly what we were looking for: a modern venue in a great location in Appleton. The riverside location adds a natural beauty and made for perfect sunset photos. We had a lot of out of town guests and they loved the area. Poplar Hall is a great base for showing off Appleton and the Fox Rivers at their best. The director, Sandy, has a lot of experience with wedding planning and she was able to contribute tons of helpful advice. She worked with us on our vision and was able to seamlessly implement a few little personal touches.
