Casinos are supposed to be places of excitement, entertainment, and customer appreciation—especially for those who spend generously at the tables. Unfortunately, my recent experience at a particular casino has left me feeling Degraded, frustrated, and deeply disappointed. Over the course of two separate visits, both my boyfriend’s family and I were wrongly accused of being intoxicated, and the way we were treated by security and staff was COMPLETELY unacceptable. A few months ago, my boyfriend’s father was playing at a blackjack table when he was approached by security and told he was too drunk to remain in the casino. Everyone at the table, including the blackjack dealer, immediately spoke up in his defense, insisting that they had the wrong person. Despite the initial over aggression from security, the situation was eventually diffused and he was allowed to stay—only because the dealer vouched for him. At the time, we assumed it was a mistake. Now I believe it’s part of a larger issue. Just recently, I visited the same casino and ordered a drink while sitting in the high-limit room. Later, I ordered a second drink, but the server returned with drinks for everyone except me. When I asked about mine, she said she’d go grab it—yet it never arrived. I eventually walked to the bar, and a man behind the counter apologized and said he would bring it to me shortly. Ten minutes later, while I was playing a slot machine nearby, that same man approached me and told me I was too drunk and needed to leave. I was stunned. I had only consumed one drink the entire evening. There was absolutely no basis for the accusation—no slurred speech, no inappropriate behavior, and no signs of intoxication whatsoever. As the situation escalated, more staff members began approaching me. I walked over to the blackjack table where my boyfriend’s dad was playing, and once again, the dealer confirmed that I had been quietly sitting at the table all night and had caused no problems. Despite this, a woman—who was particularly aggressive and confrontational—started yelling that I was too intoxicated and that all of us needed to leave. The situation quickly became chaotic and deeply uncomfortable with even the woman kicking me out calling my boyfriend’s dad fat. What shocked me the most was how quickly I was accused, how little evidence there was to support it, and how unwilling the staff was to listen or investigate. This ISN’T an isolated case. Just days before, my boyfriend’s friend was also removed from the casino for supposedly being drunk—despite being completely sober. It’s clear to me now that this is a recurring issue. Whether it’s poor staff training, abuse of authority, or some form of bias or profiling, it needs to be addressed ASAP What makes this worse is that we were spending significant money—over $200 per blackjack hand. Yet, we were treated with disrespect, suspicion, and extreme hostility. When I asked them to check their security footage to verify that I had only been served one drink, they dismissed me. No one offered a proper explanation, and no one took responsibility. I can’t help but think like I was unfairly targeted—possibly because of how I look: a petite, 5’1” white woman. This experience was not just unfair, it was humiliating. I’ve never felt so disrespected as a paying customer. I regret not taking more action at the time, but I want to make it clear now: I will never return to that casino, and I will encourage others to avoid it as well. No customer, regardless of appearance or spending level, deserves to be treated the way we were. Casinos should be accountable for how their staff treats guests. In this case, the treatment was not only unjustified—it was discriminatory, aggressive, and deeply unprofessional.

House keeping and room service 5 stars!! They come within minutes to help with whatever you need! The bed feels amazing. But those are the only pros of this hotel. ( pool bars close at 6pm) Unfortunately I booked this place mainly because of the massive pool they have, due to the dust storm that pool has been dirty for my entire stay ( three days total). I wanted to enjoy my birthday so I tried to cancel my reservation here over the phone with breigh the front desk manager (8/26/25 )and she was very dismissive. She told me “I wouldn’t get a refund rather I cancel or not because my reason wasn’t good enough to her”. They do have another pool (much smaller) but upon trying to use my card for it twice IT DIDT WORK and I reported it to the front desk, they reset it . Yet again, The card STILL DIDT WORK, so everytime I wanted to go to the pool…staff had to let me in. So if I wanted to go back to my room or go inside for whatever reason I’d have to get staff to let me back in to the small pool. finally for the third time went to the desk to report the issue to the same manager ms BREIGH and her response was “it’s seems like nothing we do here will make you happy so I’ll go ahead and refund you for the next two days” my response was no ma’am it’s not that but I should have access to amenities I paid for! And offered her to follow me down to the pool to prove that I had no reason to make it up. She followed me down there and recorded me trying to use my hotel card to get in &. IT DID NOT WORK. She was shocked and didt apologize for the inconvenience that issue had caused me all that day. After that experience I wanted to ensure I had a good birthday the next following day so I booked a day pass with JW MARRIOT! 10/10 recommend!!! Top tier service. But before going there I figured I’d ask for something from talking sticks front desk for my horrible day 8/26/2025 .I mentioned maybe a free spa day/massage or facial ….the asst manager Christina said that wouldn’t be an option but she’d ask the manager Breigh for more options. I went outside to wait on my Lyft to JW MARRIOT. Within 10 minutes the asst manager called me and said they would be willing to take away my $21 per day resort fees for the MAJOR inconveniences this property gave me 8/26/25. INSANE! Not once did the manager ever even say happy birthday or sorry for the horrible experience you’ve had. All I wanted was relaxation for my birthday and I had to deal with my entire first day here with no free will access to the one small pool they had available. This is now day three and the main large pool is still dirty. It’s amazing how JW MARRIOT HAD CRYSTAL CLEAN POOLS AND BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I’m happy I spent my money on a day pass there for my actual birthday. Or my trip would’ve been ruined completely! $63 refund for my horrible day is truly sickening. Mind you this resort fees was for the coffee tea and water in the room! It’s insane they wasn’t willing to accommodate my spa request when they made my trip a nightmare. I ordered two drinks while I was here about $30 total and both drinks didt taste LIKE NO Alcohol was in them at all. I went to sugar jam for breakfast and one drink there was better than both drinks at talking stick! Thanks for an HORRIBLE BIRTHDAY!

This was my first stay at the resort, and it was a solid experience! The staff was very helpful and very friendly! It didn't matter where or what they were doing. I felt like they were focused on the quality of the experience. I bought tickets to see a show and decided to make it a staycation. Everything was pretty clean, the bed was comfortable and the room was awesome! The building is 15 years old now, and there are areas where it is showing its age. I have been in construction my whole life, so I see finishes and other little things that probably go unnoticed. We had dinner there on a Friday and Saturday, and both places had amazing food. The Blue Coyote Grill was dinner on Friday before the concert, and it was bomb! I had the shrimp enchiladas, and my wife had the mahi mahi enchiladas......both were amazing! Great flavor, and the rice and beans were pretty good. Solid pours on the mixed drinks as well!! Orange Sky is at the top of the building and has great views of Camelback, Echo Canyon, Paradise Valley as well as Pinnacle Peak. At night, Fountain Hills looks cool, shimmering in the distance. The Toka Sticks golf course provides a nice green foreground with the deserts picking up towards the mountains. During the day, the staff at the pool bar were very friendly and on point with the service! The lounge prior to the restaurant was legit! Nice vibe ....super chill...with great mixed drinks. I had an old fashioned with Makers Mark, and it was on point! The wife had the "Indulge" drink, which was a Khaluah infused martini with coffee beans. She said it was pretty solid as well. Seating in the he restaurant is nice and open with preferred seating near the windows. Outdoor seating at the infinity pool would be nice when the weather is cooler. The food was next level! I've been to many types of steakhouse and this might be the best.....in my opinion....that includes Ruth's. My wife had the Ostrich filet, and it was absolutely delicious! Whipped potatoes and bacon jam for the sides, and they were solid as well. I had the ribeye, and it was worth every penny!!! Amazing flavor, and to say it was tender is an understatement. The corn cake is really good, as well as the mushrooms. Desert was the lemon bundt cake and creme brulee. Both are really good. Our server was Sally, and she was absolutely fantastic. Her suggestions were perfect, and her attention to my wife's dietary restrictions was new for me. Sally absolutely made sure everything was as it needed to be. I look forward to another stay and will hit the restaurants up again for sure.

We picked this hotel for our wedding night 10/27. I reserved the room in June. It was an exec king room with a view. I wrote on the reservation that it was our wedding night and we would be arriving in our wedding attire. I called ahead and confirmed the booking and reminded them that we would be arriving on our wedding night. The guy was nice and said he would make a note. We were interested in paying for room service as well.

We got there in our wedding attire and went to check in at the front desk. There was no congratulations. The woman didn’t even smile and barely even looked at us. It was really obvious that we were bride and groom and it said so on our reservation. Just a congratulations would’ve been nice. There was no offer for a bell hop to help bring our things. The bell hop wasn’t even at the desk. We brought cash money to tip the bell hop and any help way may have needed along the way. We didn’t use any of the cash because there was no help. The random people gambling on the casino floor were nicer to us than the front desk staff. I can’t tell you how long we looked forward to staying the night here, we booked it 4 months ahead.

We got to our room. The room was plain. The covers on the bed weren’t even good covers. It was like a sheet with another sheet over it. The toilet would not stop running. By this time, it was midnight and we were tired. Didn’t feel like trying to deal with the front desk staff anymore. The toilet was loud! It ran every 15-20sec. Multiple times a min. For what it’s worth, we tried to call the front desk but there was no instructions for the phone. No indication on the phone for which button or number to press to get the front desk or an operator or anyone on the line at all. We gave up and went to bed.

Next morning, we tried to order room service but couldn’t find a phone number or button for that. There was no menu or any typical hotel booklet available in the entire room. We went out and gambled for a little bit and grabbed a coffee before coming back up to the room to pack up. There was a housekeeper outside of our door just standing there. We still had 20 min left before checkout. In the room we’re trying to pack up, lots of wedding things to get together. I called 10 min before checkout and asked if it was ok if we stayed just 5 MINUTES after checkout because it was our wedding night and we just need 5 extra minutes packing. Honestly it was a courtesy call. She told me nobody is allowed to check out late ever, yet again they missed saying congratulations - did they even care it was our wedding night at all? She said that housekeeping is usually on watch and reports back if anyone checks out even a minute late. I said really - even just five minutes? She said no I’m sorry. Well, we already saw the housekeeper literally spying outside our door waiting around for 11a so it’s 10:55a and we are throwing everything together as fast as possible.

I think well maybe they just had a few disappointing front desk staff so I call them back and ask for a supervisor. She answers the phone and is very nice and apologetic. She said for what it’s worth- congratulations, which was honestly nice to at least hear once on our stay. She apologized for the information about the late checkout and said as an exception we can check out at 12p instead. That was a relief. We were able to properly pack up all our things and get out of the door at 11:10a. She also said sorry for the toilet and that we’d be comped $50 for having to deal with that. I thought she was very nice and did what she could to fix the problem on our call.

Well, I just got my bill online tonight and it says we were charged $50 extra instead of a $50 discount. I called the front desk staff from my home and they woman took a look, she said that the manager wrote that we were supposed to have a $50 discount but that she accidentally put it as a $50 charge instead? At this point…are y’all serious? She sent a message for the supervisor to fix it in the morning. Started and ended...

Thanks for an...
