A must-see place while in Page. It's like being on a different planet. I got off of the trail somewhere, so I'm not sure I ever actually saw the " hanging garden. " .. but I didn't mind one bit. The entire place can be explored and is worth exploring. Amazing geological formations and so many gorgeous picturesque views. Plus, it is 100% free to go to. In my opinion, this place is second only to the Horseshoe on the list of don't miss places in Page. I went for a run out here early one morning. It had been raining all night so the air had that crisp energetic smell that you only get in the desert after a thunderstorm. My theory about that scent is that its excess or slightly elevated nitrogen in the air, from lighting strikes. But also readily apparent was the scent of wet creosote, one of my favorite naturally occurring desert sensory inputs.
