A must-see place while in Page. It's like being on a different planet. I got off of the trail somewhere, so I'm not sure I ever actually saw the " hanging garden. " .. but I didn't mind one bit. The entire place can be explored and is worth exploring. Amazing geological formations and so many gorgeous picturesque views. Plus, it is 100% free to go to. In my opinion, this place is second only to the Horseshoe on the list of don't miss places in Page. I've spent 29 months finding don't miss free places to camp and explore across this beautiful country. This is a wonderful don't miss free place to explore.

This was a fairly easy walk for just about anyone to accomplish. While it was not the most thrilling hike it still made for a nice morning out in nature. At the end of the hike if you walk up the hill a bit more you can find a nice place for good views and a possible place for a picnic! Because this trail is fairly easy and accessible it seemed to be more popular. Given that it was popular on the weekend and parking was limited, you may be pushed to create your own spot in the dirt/sand off the side of the road. Big rigs may find it difficult to park if the lot is full.

Good place to do some exercise while visiting Page. It is a short 1 Mike hike with a rock top view as well as a cactus/greenery oasis amongst the rocks view. The hike to the rock top is a little steep but since mesas have a rough texture - it’s fairly easy to climb. Just take your own time and I also saw little kids do it. At the parking lot, if you goto the left, you get some magnificent views of the dam and lake Powell.

My wife and I visited this site on a ranger lead hike. hat tip to Seth our ranger, they were very informative and had great knowledge of the plants, animals and history of the area. Maybe we will run into them at another site in the future. as a 63yr old in not so good shape I would classify this as a moderate hike, the biggest obstacle was the ledge at the Gardens. We would love to visit her again in the spring.

This hike is about a mile round trip. It leads you to the Hanging Garden on a mesa above Lake Powell. The garden is hidden by Navajo sandstone. The seep spring and captured rainwater provide for the Helleborine Orchids, Maiden Hair Ferns and wildlife. We started the hike @ 8 AM and along the way the sun arose over the hills. We saw lizards, Cottontail Rabbit, Desert Mouse and an Owl. A hidden GEM in Page!

Short trail. Well marked trail with rocks along both sides of the trail. Mostly easy walk. Couple of sandy area on the trail are a little more difficult and right near the end there is a steep incline. Hanging garden can be seen without going up last section. Check out the scenic view trail that splits off the Hanging Garden trail. Slightly more difficult, but wonderful views from atop the plateau.
