And that's a wrap on our trip... We definitely had weird, messy, complicated, sad, wonderful, and amazing moments during this 1 month's trip, but most of all, it was EPIC! We've done road trips in the US before but this one wins them all! In California, we spent a few days in Los Angeles: Worked with an amazing hotel, explored The Huntington Library, finally made it close to the Hollywood Sign, partied at Pitbulls concert, and hiked Topanga Lookout trail. We then drove to Arizona: spent a few days in Sedona where we hiked Devil's bridge, Birthing Cave, Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, and enjoyed the view from Mesa Airport. In Page we had bad weather so we only got to see Horseshoe Bend, explore "The New Wave", and watch a killer sunset at Wahweap overlook. We then crossed to Utah through Monument Valley, stayed in Moab for a few days, and explored Arches National Park and Canyonland National Park. We moved on to Hanksville where we went to Long Dong, Factory Butte, and tried to make it Moonscape Overlook but like I said, the weather wasn't the greatest so we couldn't make it. On the way to Bryce Canyon, we drove through Capitol Reef National Park. Next, we spent 2 days in Bryce enjoying its many viewpoints, Bryce Point Trail, Mossy Cave, and sunrise hiked Navajo Loop and Queens Garden. Our last stop in Utah was Zion. We went Canyoneering, explore Belly of the Dragon, hiked Canyon Overlook, hiked the narrows, Went on a helicopter ride, and had a photoshoot. We then drove to Nevada and explored Valley of Fire, and had a fun in Las Vegas. We then spent 2 days in Death Valley We explored Badwater Basin, Dante's View, watched the sunset at Artists Platte, and watched the sunrise at Zabriskie Point. We spent 2 amazing days in Disneyland, one of the days being the Halloween Party! and did some shopping during our last 2 days in Los Angeles. What's the best road trip you've been on? ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ ➡️ 𝑭𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 @our.whereabouts 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑼𝑺 𝑹𝒐𝒂𝒅𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒑 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 ⭐ 𝑫𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒅𝒅 𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑼𝑺! 🇺🇸

Wahweap Viewpoint is a very good place to view Lake Powell from Highway 89 north of Page, Utah. To find this viewpoint, you need to drive a few miles past the Carl Hayden Dam and Visitor Centre. Don't enter the Wahweap Marina turnoff, which is shortly after crossing the dam. Keep driving another couple of miles. You'll see a roadside sign for the Wahweap Viewpoint turnoff (see picture). Drive down the small road towards Lake Powell for less than a minute. You'll pull into a carpark area with a small shaded area and sign. You'll also be able to recognise the viewpoint area due to the outstanding viewpoints of Lake Powell.

Wahweap Overlook is a great viewing spot of Lake Powell. We enjoy watching sunrise from the overlook then driving the lake shore drive road while the sun continues rising. Shadows play in the rocks allowing for some fun sights. There is a very large dirt/gravel parking lot with a couple of covered picnic tables. Looks down on Wahweap Marina. This overlook is off hwy 89 and there is no fee station, though I am not sure if it truly a no fee area. We have a National Parks pass so I don't always pay attention to those details.
