We were a little early in the season (early May) most shops & restaurants were still closed. However the walk through the town was great. Love the historic buildings. Visitor center has a wonderful museum that we enjoyed. If you like history and have an interest the Santa Fe trail . It’s a great place for a short side trip.

Lots of interesting history but disappointing that so many of the sites were closed early afternoon on a weekday. Restaurants also closed but there are vending machines and public restrooms. A few of the shops were open and had nice selections with wonderful staff.

Charming and so well preserved! Wonderful Missouri history lesson. I recommend you go to watch the 15 minutes "movie" at the Visitor Center, before browsing their artifacts and then going thru the village in person.

All places are historic, since they've all been places for the exact same amount of time. But this area at least people were paying attention and writing stuff down. I especially liked when a bird pooped on my friend here and not me. HAHAHA take that Greg!!!

Also if you see some keys lying around hang on to them for me. Rabbits...
