I don't know what it is about amazing Parks not having a designated bathroom area, but this is definitely one of them! This playground is a fortress! It's amazing! There're so many crawl spaces and climbing spots and loads of ways for kids to use their creativity and play. They have a toddler area that had a sand pit. It requires adult supervision, but it's easy enough to keep track of your child in that area. There are plenty slides, monkey bar type areas, climbing, seating, swings, and so much more! There were a few picnic tables around the outside of the fenced-off playground area. And, a small gazebo looking Pavilion area. It was quite quaint and outside of the fenced area was a walking area and a field they can run around. The parking lot isn't the greatest, but I don't really care about that. My daughter loves swings, but there was so much to explore and play with at this park that she didn't even touch the swings. Usually, all we do is push her on the swing but this park was different. It was quite refreshing :-) if this park had a designated bathroom area, I would give it a...
Read moreI discovered this tiny little park when my child was just a baby, and I have been grateful for it ever since. It has mature trees and a gazebo for shade in the summer and an open field for playing sports, throwing frisbees, enjoying picnics or flying kites. But the best part is the playground area. It is wonderfully designed with both a section for toddlers and an area for older children. The only reason I can't give it five stars, is because there are no restroom facilities ....yet. I keep hoping the parks department will consider adding a small restroom with facilities for washing up. But the park is still wonderful and worth a visit if you're looking for a place for your children to play and have fun.
UPDATE March 2021 - Restrooms have been added! Changing my...
Read moreGreat for tots and older kids; a classic, older wooden castle play structure anchors this park which is ringed by a short paved walking loop featuring varying elevation but always within sight of the main playground. The plentiful old growth trees offer plenty of shade in the summer months at least, and new facilities such as restrooms (a welcome addition) are currently under construction. 4 stars only because the park's central feature is aging a bit, but there was plenty of recently laid mulch underneath to cushion falls. Just don't dig in it; you and your child will likely get splinters if you do it with bare hands, as it is, after all, natural...
