This is truly amazing that a restaurant that is connected to a gas station has some of the best food you will ever find ANYWHERE!!! And I know that this is an unbiased absolute fact because this place stays busy the people in this little restaurant are amazing people not just in their talent but the way they are generally good people and I can never say enough how good the food is. I ordered a steak rice salad and refried bean plate that comes with three hot toasted flour tortillas or you can get corn tortillas as well but I don't like those, anyway, when it comes to Latin cooking it is very rare for Latin style steak to be as tender as the one that I ordered from here it practically melted in my mouth and was perfect to make burritos or soft tacos with. No the steak is not shredded or cut up its actual whole pieces of steak that are as tender as you could ever want them. Absolutely love this place and it is actually and it is actually in my top three or four overall restaurants in the entire state of North Carolina!!!!!! And for those of you who have not been here yet honestly and truly and deeply urge youto go there and don't let the fact that it's in the gas station full you you will absolutely love it I...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place even though the prices are sky high the food was very good, that was until they completely ripped me off. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and the guy taking my order seemed very confused on what a sandwich was. It’s literally on the menu and there is a large picture of what it looks like. After paying $14 and waiting over 15 minutes he said my order was ready I came over and felt the paper bag feel very light. I then saw that they somehow decided to put my steak and cheese sandwich on two tiny pieces of a loaf of bread. The same bread you would use to make a pp&j sandwich. I told them it was wrong and it needed to be on a sub roll. After waiting a few more minutes I got a small sub roll with a tiny portion of meat I could tell the cook just scraped off what he already made onto different bread. I paid for a large and got a small with almost no meat. It tasted bad, and I’m done paying these awful prices. You can keep your $6 tacos I never coming back. You lost a regular...
Read moreAfter many months of watching my coworkers eat their lunches and smelling the aromas of a fresh cooked handmade burger, I could resist no longer to find out where such a purchase was being made. To my surprise I was sent up the street to a local gas and convenience store with a small restaurant inside. El Patron. I had to have one of these burgers I'd heard so much about. I ordered the Super Burger, topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms. A side of fresh, crisp, hot fries accompanied my burger. I sunk my teeth in and was immediately enlightened to what my coworkers had known for so long. This place makes a delicious burger! They make it fast, they make it with a smile, and it's price is on point! I am looking forward to exploring their menu further but now know I can always count on them for a delicious handmade burger. Try it for yourself one day, you...
