Bellwood Quarry — Attraction in Atlanta

Look online for guides on how to trespass to find the quarry Be careful because it's in a bad neighborhood. OR Plan a Friday or Saturday morning to do the Beltline tour and find the quarry for free (according to other sources)

My car and a friend's was broken into, as in front window shattered, rear window and side window completely smashed. All they took was cash and left the other valuables, but towing, repairs, and dealing with police reports and insurance is still a pain. I parked in the back lot of Grove Park on a Sunday when the visitor center was closed, not knowing there was a front parking lot (It's a nice park).

We never actually got to the quarry. Google Mapping Westside Reservoir Park takes you to a gated entrance with security cameras. This is going to be one amazing park after my first big love Piedmont Park. I love the fact that you can walk or bike around the entire park and end up in different section. I spent hours walking around this park and loved it. I will sure be going there again for my nature walk. This is a very nice park, larger than piedmont park and very smart water infrastructure for the city. FKA Rockdale used to be a black neighborhood that the city promised to rebuild and never did during the 60s. The residents were told that the neighborhood was to be redeveloped but instead their homes were demolished and the residents could never return.
