I have been a member of planet fitness for years now and moved to Atlanta and kept the membership. I have noticed in the past whenever I go to any location that more and more "Lunks" are taking over due to the price and the quality of the equipment. They come in and tie up multiple machines in prime time. That just happened to me at this location. I went up to the front desk because the young kid that is clearly on something decided to wave my wife down to get my attention and rudely looked at me and stated that he is setup on the equipment as he was already using something else. I asked him with a puzzled voice if was in fact using up all of this equipment and we couldn't. He stated "yes" with a rude voice like I was putting him out. This just happened to be prime time and it is against the rules of planet fitness and is supposed to be strictly enforced. However, it is sadly not anymore. When I went up to the desk the nice young person up there came back and told the kid he can't tie up equipment. After the staff member walked away the young kid came over to me and tapped me on the should and with a smile looked at me and stated that he is now using the equipment I'm on. After that I went to the front desk to ask for the GM and for them to cancel my account and my wife's. The GM didn't even care to ask why I was cancelling until I brought it up. The GM after dealing with me told me he will go over and talk with the person.
Fast forward a few days I finally got word after reaching out to the corporate office by the group that owns several of these franchises and said they would look into it. I finally got word back and this is what they stated.
Chance Branson Tim I believe they were given a last and final warning, and if another issue occurred, they would be cancelled.

Read moreI love this gym! The employees don’t bother me which is great because I’m always in a rush. I quickly work out for 5 min because I’m always running late for work or get distracted by “something” once I get there, losing track of time (I have really bad A.D.H.D). I then get very sweaty and smelly just only after 5 min of working out (I am a very sweaty person but boy does my sweat make me lose a lot of weight)! I quickly take a quick shower at the gym to not smell sweaty because my sweat really smells. (The showers are always busy so I guess I’m not the only one, but somehow I always get lucky with one left not in use, just for me.) I then run out the door to head to work. When I finally arrive to work I have to run up 8 flights of stairs because it’s faster than taking the elevator…. but then I’m sweaty again (but not as sweaty), so I go freshen up quickly in the bathroom sink at work. I really need to manage my time and priorities better, find something to help me sweat less and stop running up the stairs and instead take the elevator. (I mean I’m already late so what’s a few more minutes of being late going to do?) Everyday I go into work, I’m prepared for my boss to let me go for my tardiness. Then I can spend more than five minutes at the gym (literally), but it’s been 5 years and ….. I’m still there unfortunately (so much for thoughts becoming your reality). I don’t know how I got so off topic. Anyways, on a positive note I accomplish my workout goals and my boss loves talking to me everyday about how we both go to the gym before work. He really admires that about me. Even if I only spend 5 minutes at the gym and he spends hours, but thankfully he never asks me how long I spend at the gym. Read moreI don’t normally write reviews but felt this was an exception. I’ve been a member here since early 2021, this is my neighborhood Planet Fitness. I have noticed a decline over the past few months. Today I was especially disappointed with how my visit went with the upkeep of the place and the interaction with staff.
Firstly they cared little to help me and seemed like I interrupted 3 of them watching a video. The guy was sitting on the counter and couldn’t even wait after handing me the massage chair coins to start talking about the video again, which felt like he was hesitant to even give me in the first place.
I work in the customer service industry and needless to say I conduct myself in a very different manner. I care about the customers and always want to give them a good experience. This as an entirety wasn’t even neutral. When I came back out, still on the counter practically next to me, none of the 3 even acknowledged me and I ended up having to leave the door hanger on the desk. Definitely made me feel not wanted there. Frustrating.
When I was in tanning room #2 it was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen them in the 2 years I’ve been going. There was debris and body hair everywhere on the bed and no cleaning solution. I had to redress and find some in another room.
Afterwards I went to the massage chair and it smelled awful. I have never had that problem in the two years I’ve been going either.
I’m sad to say that I do not enjoy going anymore and would rather drive the 20 minutes to the Tucker location to use a better up-kept gym with better service and...
