Best tacos and chorus in the area. For the area their prices are in line with what you would expect.
They do a great job on their magic line. I recommend skipping the street line. But then I am biased towards flour tortillas. Then cook (fry on a flat grill) and how can you go wrong?
For main dishes I have had their tacos and quesadillas. Both are very good. But I give a nod to the tacos. The chicken & steak are both very good. I can't say which is better. You can't go wrong. Select what fits your mood and you should be happy.
The churos are the best in the area. I recommend going with the chocolate option. But there is no wrong choice.
On the fries. You can actually order just fries. Or you can get their loaded version. I ordered the regular fries. There is nothing special about the fries. They are what you would expect. That is not a complaint.
There are several things/issues to keep in mind.
The first several times I tried to grab food. They were not open. Despite being during their normal hours. This may have been an anomaly/bad luck on my part. I am glad I kept trying.
They were very slow in taking my order. Luckily I was the only one there. They did get my food out in the timeframe they told me. The length of time to take my order and calculate the price. Was not an issue for me. But if there had been a crowd. It could have really been an issue and very frustrating. But, hey maybe they were just waking up for the evening.
How about adding chips & homemade salsa and chips & queso?
The final concern is the one that is most important to me. I live in the area. I want to support businesses that want to be part of the community. Da Cocinita seems to fit that category. My concern/issue is that their menu is rather limited. The food is great. But you can only eat the same things so many times.
My friends at Da Cocinita. How about adding a weekly special? Or swapping out several new items every month or so?
To net it out. I recommend grabbing food from here and I...
Read moreNow that my 3 week long vacation has come to an end and I’m going through everything I need to review and post, THIS place here was by far my immediate first choice to review. One thing I’m avid about doing when I travel is making sure I find the taco truck area wherever I am. It is mandatory. Now I’m use to traditional street tacos because yes while the seasoning if the meat is important, I fully believe a great sauce can fix anything! We stopped in Atlanta and go to it on our google searches. This place popped up and honestly we chose it because it was the closest within 10 miles that was also open. We arrive and the parking lot is packed with people for this truck. Almost made us give up but we said screw it we’ll wait if we have to. I asked the woman at the winda what gets ordered most. She responded with the MAGIC TACO. I wasn’t sure which meat to choose because there was a few options and she suggested trying one of each because the order came with 3 tacos. No mistakes were madeeeee! I got asada chicken and ground beef. All were so delicious I honest to god can’t tell you one was better than the other. The seasonings of the meat IMMACULATE the shell being cooked with a hint of cheese on it! OMG! The drizzle of sour cream. Look… I , the TACO QUEEN, can assure that these were the best tacos I’ve EVER had! Believe me or not.. I went back for a second order for “later” when I get hungry (they were about to close) and straight up sat in the parking lot and ate all of those. Let me add they were already closing when we all went to the winda for our second order and she knew we were from outta town and they popped those grills back on and whipped us all up more super quick. I swear hand on my bible the second order was even better than the other.
I might make my way back out to the ATL just for these! Everyone was so sweet at that truck AND THEY BROUGHT YOU YOUR TACOS TO YOUR CAR! If you’re think about stopping here, DONT THINK TWICE!! You can...
Read moreSo one of my tenants at my extra space that's down. The street owns and operates this hidden gem. For months I've been saying I was gonna go try it and never got around to it. The owner came in one day to go to his unit, and he said, to thank you for all that you've done for us and allowed us to do. I'm gonna bring you lunch from our taco stand he finally brought it and what can I say? I have nothing negative to say at all! What did that girl say that went viral about a chicken salad. "You better come get you one of these!" That comment is, it's an understatement. I'm usually very picky about my sweet tacos. I really care about the authenticity and the taste. This place did not disappoint! I had the 3 magic tacos the first time, and they were excellent. So this time I decided to try the magic quesadilla and all I can say is when I got off from work today at five thirty I stopped back by there to get dinner that quesadilla and those tacos, we're absolutely perfect. The freshness of the ingredients and how seasoned the food is. It's not overseas, and it's not under season is just right? If you've never stopped by here and you're on this side of Atlanta, I would highly suggest you stop by and try any item. Not only do they look good and smell good, they taste absolutely great. Thank you to the owner, Mr. Arif for my lights, the other day. And today, and thank you for being there to provide me for dinner tonight. Not only are you a wonderful tenant, but you are a great business owner. And if I can go ahead and say a good friend, it's always a pleasure talking to you when I see you and you have a lifetime customer with me. If I could give this place ten stars, twenty stars a hundred stars, I would. Go check it out folks, I promise you will not be...
