I hate that i ever came across this apartment complex...I've been dragged through hell because of the mold infestation for 2 years, threw away 50% of my furniture and my health impacted by mold in the ceiling of my unit 4334. Several other people have mold in there units too as well as bed buggs. The Community manager Tekeyla is a liar lacking care, interest and/ or compassion for the very people she claims to serve on her post. Very disappointed but not surprised by her lazy, lack luster, piss poor ethics and antics. When i first reported the mold back in 2017 Tekeyla had a maintenance worker so-call fix what should have been handled by an expert remediation specialist and the leak was Never corrected. Fast forward June 2018, i started having asthma like symptoms in my home and ive never had respiratory conditions Ever. Tekeyla didnt want to deal with the leaky roof hence didnt want to repair my apartment's issue. She caused a bad situation to go all the way south with neglegance and ignorance, she didnt even know what mold "spores" were nor did she take the time to find out, shows just how much she cares and parks her car out of sight of the residents to avoid being confronted. Karma has a beautiful way of dealing with people of her caliber. My Grandmother used to say every dog has its day, some even two. Dont waste your money here, trust me i watched thousands go down the drain, thankfully i had money to move out unplanned and to replace my 2 queen size matresses, and wood bed frames, dresser and oversized sofa all from Macys and Carson's. She came back weeks later and admitted that there was a leak lmao, Tekeyla didnt even apologize and she knew i had been sleeping on the balcony because i couldnt breathe inside my unit, she ignored my complaints of the mold and tried to make it seem like it was my fault because i prefer natural air over AC. My neighbors below me and across the hall had bed bugs who they said came from other units....THIS WHOLE COMPLEX IS CONTAMINATED. They let the mold problem get out of hand and i was told by my remediation expert that the way the ceilings are sagging in the breeze ways that the owners will never spend what it actually would take to correct a problem like that...so if you are pregnant or have small children or like to maintain a healthy lifestyle DO NOT move to Villas at Princeton Lakes, you will have no support when u call to complain, just check out the lease addendum. Oh and before i forget the THEY HAVE SEWER ISSUES* YOUR WATER BILL BASE LINE IS $67.00 ON TOP OF HOW EVER MANY GALLONS USES PER MONTH!! 3-4 BEDROOM HOMES HAVE $100 WATER BILLS NOT 1-2 BEDROOM APTS. THEY WILL NOT TELL U THIS BEFORE U MOVE IN. The new management is worse than the old management raising rents to line their pockets with, they dont deserve your hard earned dollars. Rent has gone up to $1200 plus water bill you will be paying $1300 easy, you could mortgage 2 homes for that price point---Buy your own home and let your money...
Read moreI previously had a review up here and gave this place zero stars. Let me tell you why I have now changed my opinion. I have lived at this complex for 11 years, (since Feb. 2014), and there have been a lot of ups and downs and side ways , blah blah. This staff currently here in 2025 is the best staff I have ever encountered. I have known Shawn since he first started here and to see how he has cared about this community, really makes it difficult to leave this community. Tabitha!!!!!! Oh man, I do not have the words to describe how amazing this woman is. She cares so much about every member of this community, and it shows in her genuineness and professionalism. The maintenance staff is by far the best in business in Atlanta. They are funny, know what they’re doing, respectful, and very protective of their community. You can tell they love what they do. The community is close to grocery stores and gas stations as well as some of the best seafood places I have eaten, (Baltimore Seafood and Crab) go get you some good food. My experience with my neighbors in the community has been nothing but great, the kids in the neighborhood are fun to be around especially during the random snow day and you want to have a neighborhood snowball fight. The trash pickup as gotten better recently, at first it was a toss up to see if they would come. If you needed pest control to your apartment, your request would be fulfilled in within a week, regular maintenance request were completed within an average of 50 hours after the request was made. If I didn’t have to be closer to work, there is absolutely so way I move out of this community. The high ceilings, layout, and extra storage space makes this place a hidden gem in southwest Atlanta. You may have a problem with the bugs that come through the drains during the summer, but that’s about it when it comes to critters that you don’t want in your apartment. If you’re looking for some down right southern hospitality, look no further than the Villas at Princeton Lakes Apartments. Oh and if you need any recommendations on where to eat and go explore when you’re in NOLA, you better ask Shawn! I will miss this staff so much and I do hope to see you in the future. A big shout to Tekila!!! Without her dedication to the not only her job but us as members of this community, I don’t think I would have ever changed my rating of this complex. So come enjoy XMas giveaways, bbqs by the pool with music, and all other activities this community has to offer. It’s not just little kid stuff either, there are plenty of activities they have for adults of ages and the young adults. Enjoy your time living in one of the best...
Read moreOverall, I would rate the following: Appearance- 4/5, Amenities- 3/5, Safety- 3/5, Cost- 3/5, and Management- 1/5 I've lived her for 3 years and can say that I've had many ups and downs with this establishment. As for management and staff, the maintenance men are helpful (the slimmer gentleman mostly). As for in-office, Ms. Thompson majority of the time is unaware and/ or unhelpful when asking questions. Mr. Hastings is unprofessional, as he is dismissive and rude both via email and in-person. As for the apartment complex, overall it is nice however there are constant concerns with the gate and the use of amenities. The laundry and pool areas are always locked. The pool had been closed for 2 years of my stay. As for the apartments, they are spacious, however the tub and tabletop coatings are cheap i.e constant peeling. There are some concerns with pests i.e roaches both in and outdoors. You will hear occasional gunshots in the area and/ or noise from other apartments. The cost has jumped tremendously; to a $200 increment each year. Residents had concerns regarding break-ins and thefts. Management suggests making a police report rather than viewing the cameras on the property, however will penalize anyone for dumping items via camera view...do not approve. Also, do not be hopeful for your security deposit back. They charge you for the “wears and tears” which is against their lease policy. Again, I’ve lived here for 3 years so wall markings and carpet discoloration is likely, therefore creating unreasonable charges to refrain from returning deposits. I was charged $350 for the replacement of carpet and pad to which is within the "wear and tear" category. Also, you're allowed to pick up any leftover items within 48hours of leave, however I was charged $80 for sheets I requested to pick up to avoid charges however they were discarded. Security Deposit should have been returned. Overall, definitely a 3/5 rating.
Response to Owner: No need to call. Feel free to email me with any questions and/ or comments regarding the review. Also, feel free to provide a receipt for purchases on your behalf regarding the security deposit credit if you may too via...
