Nice small zoo. Currently a lot of it is under construction/habitat updates, which surprised me a bit as it is getting closer to the summer season. Some of the more notable animals included the lion, the red panda, the emu, and the leopard. I was surprised you by how many buildings of indoor exhibits there were. One was nocturnal creatures, another tropical rainforest, another about different protective adaptations. I believe there were four or five total indoor buildings. There is a nice book walk through the pollinator garden by the pond. Reasonably priced, and great discounts if you are a local resident. In the winter the concessions are closed, but there are some snack items in the gift shop, and gift shop prices do not seem to be as overly inflated as larger, zoos or aquariums often are. In the summer, the zoo does have a splash pad. Right outside of the zoo there is also a woods walk, and a very large playground.

Would give zero stars if I could. I came from North Carolina visiting Massachusetts, and wanted to take my kids to the zoo so my little one could see the animals. When I looked at the pictures, the place looked beautiful with a variety of different animals, a splash pad for my toddler, and cheap tickets. When we went, we left about 10 to 15 minutes later after arriving. There were around 12 animals, Lions, emu, alpaca, goats, red fox, 2 otters, a snake, and only a couple others i don’t remember the name for. When I looked at the website it stated that they had animals like zebra, rhinos, and other REGULAR zoo animals which as far as I saw was false advertisement. They have extremely small enclosures for the animals, even for the lions even though there is a male and a female inside. They also take care of their animals cheaply. Like for example when we went to go see a some type of tiny fox, they literally had coffee canisters with newspapers inside of them and the kong treat toys that are used for dogs inside their enclosure. They have a bunch of things closed and some have signs saying that more animals are supposedly coming soon. This is NOT a zoo. The zoo itself is also small too. I would try and get my money back if it wasn’t such a hassle. I DO NOT recommend this backyard BARN.

Nice park, perfect for the kids in the summer, the splash pad makes a wonderful addition to the zoo along with the large park outside the zoo. On the other side its unfortunate to see the largest animal, king of the jungle that usually have the largest land territories is captivated in a small space. The lions have a small space to inhabit. The pond at the entrance of the zoo is over 10x larger than the lion space. Even the kangaroos and ostrich has a space thats 4x larger than the lions area. I hope this zoo has renovations in mind that involves making the lions space much larger, it would only be fair, appropriate and reasonable to have consideration for these poor lions. Otherwise the zoo is clean, and have different animals which is pretty nice. Non residents pay more to enter, so just be prepared. Decent price overall.

Went to Capron Park Zoo over the weekend to enjoy the weather and see some animals with my daughters. The price for admission is not bad and if you live in Attleboro you save $1.00 on each admission. All together it is an okay zoo. They have a beautiul wooden bridge you can walk across a man made pond stocked with koi and other fish and there are 2 islands on each side of the bridge that have lemurs living there when the weather starts to warm up during the night. It is a smaller zoo which i dont mind but i feel that some of the larger animals like the lions definitely need much more space to run around and be active than they have. I observed mabey 2 or 3 African Lions in a very small enclosure. :( I felt bad for them. A few other animals could definitely use more space as well. Thats why i gave 4 stars instead of 5.
