Very large playground with equipment for different abilities. The playground has slides, swings, monkey bars, sit on and climbing toys. There are plenty of activities to keep kids busy, and at least were when we went, there were plenty of other children there to play with.
There's a shelter area nearby, and benches around the playground. There's a walk through the woods. Also has ball fields. This is all free, accessible activities outside of the zoo area.

There is traffic noise from County st, but the area is well maintained and there are a few benches to sit at. It is a great place to wall your dog, and there are doggie poop bag dispensers and waste baskets. The park is very clean, and there is a well maintained rock garden where volunteers plant many fowers that bloom from early March- late September. It is pretty shady with lots of trees. Read moreSmall but fun place to go. Very nice for young kids, they can see animals without getting tired. They have a small and nice cafe and a good amount of tables for public use. Restrooms are clean and spacious for ADA accommodations. Different bending machines are good to catch the moment with friends, a small carousel for young kids, for those who believe the journey is just as valuable as the destination, a photo booth for all ages offer video download for the moment and instant picture.
