Route 152 Pizza — Restaurant in Attleboro

I’ve been a customer for years even under the old owner ship. I’ve never had a problem until today. My father and I went in for lunch today ordered a couple of large steak and cheeses, mine plain, and his with lettuce, tomato, mayo. I hadn’t left the place even a half hour and next thing I know my stomach got upset and I’m running to the bathroom with explosive diarrhea and I haven’t eaten anything all day except that plain steak and cheese sandwich. It’s clear my sandwich somehow was tampered with in the kitchen. My father’s sandwich thankfully was perfectly ok. As my father and I were leaving before I got sick he was being overly nice saying have a night day repeatedly and while some people are just that nice, I knew something was odd about that exchange but didn’t think anything of it until I got sick. Looking back it’s clear he was in hurry to get rid of us and for what reason? We’ve been good customers for years, the only reason I can think of is because the gentleman did something to tamper with my sandwich. I called the place to confront them about my sandwich telling them it was clearly tampered with and the same gentleman kept backtracking, voiding the topic at hand that my sandwich was clearly tampered with, kept saying that the restaurant was clean and they follow code when I didn’t say the place was dirty in the first place. Then he proceeds to try and gaslight me trying to say maybe it was something else I had when I made it clear as I am in this review that I haven’t eaten anything else all day. Eventually I hung up because I wasn’t going to argue with him. I’m never entering or eating at this establishment ever again, and if you care about your health I’d suggest going elsewhere because under this new ownership they’ll tamper with your food to do harm and you’ll get sick

Edit: (This is a response to the owner’s unprofessional and rude response towards me. Not to mention the lies in his response about me.) -First of all I’m not advanced in age I’m in my mid 20s and I’m am healthy as can be with no health problems, so the problem is certainly not ME. Second of all if this is how you treat customers with such an unprofessional rude attitude and blaming the customer when you know damn well my plain steak and cheese was in fact tampered with then maybe you need to either learn how to behave like a legit businessman or go into a different type of business that isn’t in the food industry. Just some advice for you sir. He does not care about the customers, only the money. I was a real legit customer for years but not anymore. I’d suggest going to other food establishments in the area, because I know the others do not tamper with people’s food. May God have mercy on you...

It’s rather sad I have to leave this review as I’ve enjoyed this place for several years. I’m not sure what happened but they were very good and then out of nowhere it started going downhill.

I order a BBQ Calazone and they send Buffalo calazone. I order Blue cheese they send ranch. I order extra Blue Cheese and they don’t send it yet I still pay for it. We ask for No Cheese on the pasta and they throw cheese all over it. Time and time again over the last year plus… mistakes and missing items. I would say now 40% of the time they get the order correct and the other 60% of the time there’s a mistake or just flat missing items that I have paid for. I’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but as I just ordered again and yet again they don’t send an item I ordered.

I will say the owner (or guy I’ve spoken to that manages this place) is a really nice guy. He In fact helped us a couple of times and even gave us a discount on our next order. However that was like 10 mistakes ago… it’s also important to note that the girl that works the counter… white girl with glasses… is one of the the rudest people we’ve ever run into. If you’ve ever placed an order you know what I’m talking about. We even came in person once and she was so rude and had such a bad energy and attitude we both said when we were leaving “no wonder they’re making mistakes that girl is rude and miserable”.

I do believe the food here is very good. I have no complaints about the quality or the food. I believe my review is strictly due to the attitude of the employees and the constant mistakes. I do recommend eating here as the food is tasty and I believe the owner is a good guy. I just wish they paid more attention to what they are doing and I believe that starts with the girl upfront. If I remember correctly when we first started coming here it was a mother and her family that ran it… I don’t know if they changed owners however they may need a new system of doing...

I just ordered delivery while working from home. I got cheesy garlic bread on a whim right at the end of my order. I knew the pizza is tasty - I’ve had it many times before - but the cheesy garlic bread was soooo scrumptious that I actually called them back to tell them how awesome it tasted.

Best part of all? They did not forget the ranch!!! Every other restaurant around here always charges you something silly for extra sauce and it’s never in the box when the food arrives. Not here. I got my ranch and it was good ranch.

When I called back to let you them know how much I enjoyed it, the person working the phones/register suggested “you could write a review”

Typically I’d think to myself “yeah right,” or “fat chance”, but you know what? This garlic bread was dope, the pizza was freakin pizza, and I got my ranch.

Cheers to route 152. I’ve eaten here a ton of times since moving in nearby, every time I’ve enjoyed it. One time, a visitor of mine did not enjoy their sandwich (my sandwich personally was great) and route 152 insisted that my friend get another sandwich which they made in replacement for free since I was a semi-frequent customer.

I don’t know who runs it, but it seems like a family or family style operation. If you’re gonna spend your hard earned money somewhere for food - this is a fantastic choice. Infinitely better than flushing it down the toilet-maw of some corporate slop peddler like Deangelo’s or Pizza Hut.

Twenty dollars spent here is twenty dollars spent here, in the community, on good food made by kind employees.
