Nice homey casino with eclectic log cabin architecture within. Pretty good food. For being in the middle of nowhere in the UP, this place is quite the catch. However the slots DO NOT pay out anywhere near to what a normal casino does lol. Maybe that public relations lady is right in the sense they pay out similar to other Native American casinos in Michigan. Which basically means highway robbery lol. These places aren't regulated by the state because they're Native American, so they could have these machines programmed to take 20, 30, 40, or 50 percent and no one would find out lol. Contrast the slots at this place with the Detroit casinos such as Greektown, and you will experience that it DOES NOT "pay out the same as other casinos." Greektown is the only casino where I'm up for the year. You hit something constantly and survive on their machines. Hell, on the 5 dollar double diamond slot in their high limit room, i was hitting a cherry or mixed bars every few spins and survived a relatively long time on 120 dollars on that machine. At any native american casino in Michigan it would be 2 minutes and gone lol. All in all, I switched to Keno really quick at Kewadin, where I can at least know what the true odds are of what I'm playing. It was a neat little casino though considering the area and the staff were really friendly, compared to others where they all act annoyed at...
Read moreVisited twice. Not winning on slots but do seem to get my monies worth for the time my wife and I play. The Christmas theme and decor is tastefully done and not excessive. Safe parking and no need to worry while visiting here...they are well staffed. No tables games staffed but we do not play those and maybe we were too early today (2 to 5pm). Let's talk food!
Our second visit (today) we ate at the restaurant. Belinda waited on us, she was friendly and super sharp with our order details, not one mistake and I always special order my food, like no mayo, etc. Hats off to the kitchen too, for order accuracy and freshness! Anyway, I had the Italian Grinder-Fries, my wife had the Chicken wrap. They both were AAA+++ Sorry we took pics after taking a couple bites. Wow is this food good. Fresh crispy lettuce, ruby red tomatoes (look at my picture), delicious deli meats, fresh bun. Seriously great quality food.
The Casino is like others said, small side. However, it is extremely CLEAN! The reward desk help is friendly. Security persons smile and say hello. We don't smoke cigarettes and we're worried because others do. Their air cleaning/filtration system is AAA+++. It pulls the smoke straight up before anyone can possibly passively inhale it!!! No itchy eyes, no heavy smoke odors. Wow, smokers and non smokers can hang out together:):):)

Read moreI live in Fl, and I recently flew up to Michigan to do a road trip to the UP with a friend. We had started out our adventure with a stop at Bronners CHRISTmas store because I love everything Christmas. So imagine my surprise when I see a town named Christmas, then I see a giant Santa and quickly realize that not only is it a town named Christmas, but they also have a casino called Kewadin Christmas casino. Oh my, was I excited! It was late, and they were closed. However, we left early enough to stop on the way home. The place is absolutely beautiful. It's like a casino would be at the north pole, lol. They had a cute little restaurant and a gift shop. I wasn't hungry so I can't tell you about the food. I played the slots first, which I was rather surprised and disappointed that there were not any Christmas themed games. Then I went to visit the gift shop and it was closed. I assume they were at lunch. I really wanted to have a souvenir from Christmas since I didn't win the jackpot, lol. Overall, it was a fun time, and next time we are up that way, we will stop again. Maybe they will have Christmas themed...
