North Aurora Island Park — Attraction in Aurora Township

This park is very scenic. River views lots of fun for the kids. We packed up and had a a little impromptu picnic.

Lots of sheltered tables and seating Incase you wanted to bring a crowd. There are grills there as well. Lots of garage cans.

The park isn’t easy to see from the street. It’s behind the little dance studio and it’s very easy to miss the entrance. Ample parking and if you have older kids you can sit in the car and watch them in the park.

Nicely built, good size island park with another park (RiverFront) right across the street, lakeside views & a beautiful trail (Fox River Trail) adjacent to it.

The covered picnic shed is a great place for a family/friends/ get-together. Even though it was raining the other day, it got you covered.

My little one loved the play area equipped with swings, slides, a climbing area & other fun equipment.

My kids love this park! They're 4 & 7. This is a perfect park for a picnic, let the kids run & play, fishing, or they even have a Pavillion you can grill at! Only down side to the park, there isn't any shade near the park. So bring your hat and sunscreen, and make sure you check the temp of the slides before letting your LO ride down...
