Juquilita Tacos — Restaurant in Aurora Township

Steak tacos are excellent. It’s a shame that my rating goes to a “1” based on customer service and cleanliness. The young boy at the cash register charged me a service charge without telling me in advance. When I inquired about what it was and why he didn’t tell me, he said, “I’m telling you now!” in a rude tone. I expressed that I only knew because I asked and don’t like unauthorized and surprise charges. He said nothing to make me feel better. So disrespectful. Said nothing like, “thank you” when he gave me my food. Just a blank stare. Also the kitchen area from what I could see, looked atrocious. Dirty dishes piled up everywhere. Made me question my food, however I just prayed over it and it was good. This happened at about 5:30 pm on Saturday June 17th. Even though the food is good, I will never go back. I will not support an establishment where i am not valued, respected and the kitchen is dirty. Hope I don’t get sick. Do better people and teach that young boy how to display respect and empathy. Will not go back! Despite being hopeful of a positive experience based on the good ratings we experienced poor customer service. We waited innecessarily to place our order. We ordered drinks and were told they initially had enough to fulfill our order but then found out they didn't and ended up having our drink orders changed. Once we told our waiter that the drink was too bitter and not to our liking, we ordered tap water to finish our meals. When we expected the restaurant to provide customer service they failed to do so. Even after showing them that the drinks had only been sipped and were still almost full they claimed they needed to charge us for the drinks as they would not be able to reuse the drinks for other customers. The waiter then argued with us loudly claiming we said the opposite of what we actually told him. They also spoke to the owner who insisted we pay for drinks we had only tried. Possibly some of the best tacos I've ever had the privilege of eating. ^This in comparison to many other restaurants in the area, home cooked meals, as well as numerous restaurants in Mexico.

My wife and my only regret is that we drove past this restaurant for many years before trying.

The restaurant is very unassuming, both inside and out. Though the food is fantastic and the service is excellent as well.

This has now become a top choice every time we're back in town, especially as we have not found any comparable Mexican restaurant in Michigan... =[

Guacamole - excellent, a favorite. Chips - nice and thick, warm. Salsa - great, a bit spicy. ^Chips and salsa always brought out promptly to your table.

Tacos - excellent, double corn tortillas, fresh cilantro and onion =] ^Great selection, recommend pork and Que me vez.

Burritos - very large and delicious. Horchata - possibly some of the best I've ever had.
