Kappy’s Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Aurora Township

Bla. The two cheesy beefs we got we're awful, the meat was still pink hardly cooked, the cheese was barely melted, the fries we got we soggy and cold in the middle as if they were thrown into a microwave. The mushrooms weren't cooked all the way either, the ceasor wraps dressing was I have no clue what it was but it wasn't anything close to ceasor dressing.. the only thing that was just ok was the fried wings. All in all I have no idea why this place has the stars that it does, maybe we just tried them on the wrong day. But it doesn't matter now because we'll never go back and do not and won't recommend to anyone. It was only 40 bucks.. but 40 i could've spent somewhere better. Went to Kappy’s earlier today for the first time and we received bad service from an older waitress with glasses. Upon looking at the drink menu the waitress had told me and my girlfriend “I need an ID from you and you” instead of even greeting us and introducing herself. When my girlfriend had asked her if they had a specific beer on tap, the waitress replied “we dont carry that beer here, you might want to go to a different bar” and continued to walk away instead of telling us what beers they had on tap. Overall the waitresses attitude was horrible and rude. We ended up not ordering anything from there and took our service to a “different bar”.. We just moved to the area and I will for sure not be going...

I lived in the area for around 2 years and passed this place quite a few times. On the regular I would tell myself to try this place out for my group nerd meetings, and just never got around to it until very recently. Menu is pretty solid in diversity, food quality is great bang for the buck, and portions are better than expected and worthwhile. I love me some hole-in-the-wall style places and I check them out whenever I can for one reason: they know they have to try to make their mark instead of being a big chain.
