Phillips Park Visitors Center — Attraction in Aurora Township

FYI, they don’t have the alligators anymore! My son was disappointed (we had hyped them up!). They do have a few smaller reptiles, a bald eagle and other birds, goats, chickens, wolves, and a playground around the corner.

Overall, an ok little place to walk around and see a few animals. The garden looked nice and the grounds were pretty. However, be prepared for the restroom situation. I was disappointed that the visitor’s center and restrooms were all closed when I went around 11:30 am on a Monday even though the hours say 9 am online. well there was a bad thunder storm yesterday 7-23-17. thunder, lightning, hail and high winds. well when the storm started all the kids and adults at the splash pad went running trying to get into the visiting center the worker that was there locked the doors and left all these kids and adults outside in the storm. Golf size hail, thunder, and lightning, and shes saying she has to call a supervisor to see if she can open the door. wow how dangerous was this. kids crying and screaming scared out this world and all this worker can say is "i need to call my supervisor" not properly trained. to kno if there is any sort of a disaster or emergency you are supposed to keep the...
