We went to the indoor pool on Sunday June 14, 2015 from 3-5 pm. It wasn't crowded, definitely some ethnicity, and a good mix of patrons. Everyone was cordial and kept to themselves. No outlandish or boisterous youth in attendance. One thing I worry about with indoor pools is the humidity, but ventilation seemed adequate. It was about 80 degrees F outside and probably about 76-78 inside. Don't know water temp. since I was permitted in free as a spectator (Denver Pools charges even if you do not swim). Snack bar had what I think are fair prices: $1-$3 price range for drinks and heavy snacks. Pizza was $16 & $18 but it looked to be fair-sized (I did not eat). I didn't see locker rooms or rest rooms, so no feedback for those areas. Two separate pools for older and younger persons were nice sized. High and low diving boards, lap swimming, slide, and big water slide (corkscrew). Non-swimmers' area were typical gym bleachers and areas with plastic lawn chairs. I did not interact much with staff but it appeared they were the usual rec staff. Lifeguards seemed attentive and alert. I was able to connect to WiFi. I would go back to this place...
Read moreWell maintained Park with large selection of amenities. In 2019, we planted over 100 trees on Arbor Day. Only 15 of those trees survived. City parks are often built on storm water retention ponds, which it turns out, are not always healthy environments for transplanted trees. Their augmented soil minimizes erosion and filters the retained excess storm water from city gutters and runoff. It's a lousy, short life for young saplings, which either drown or dehydrate.
So, when you visit a city park, and see mature and young trees thriving, give a cheer. They are the survivors that endured and persevered so you and I could sit in their shade and bask in their splendor. Teach the children to be gentle with each hard earned branch. Life makes a way, but the struggle is real...
Read moreFound another beautiful place to relax, meditate and enjoy life. Unfortunately, there's so much pollution. Trash, junk. I'll post some pictures, but it's a really nice park. I don't know why our attack dollars paid for this to be. Trash like this, you would think they would put a park ranger in here and ticket. Everything on one of these people that are bleeding in this place to visit. But can't be here with all this. I see more and more why humans truly are hard. A catastrophe to this Earth, I don't know. I'm also native so Aboriginal, so once it's gonna be like saying yes, it's gonna stand there's not another one waiting as far as I know, I could be wrong but as...
