Challengers Sports Bar — Restaurant in Aurora

The only reason that service is getting a three is because of the gentlemen that helped us on 4/11 otherwise there would’ve been nothing positive to say. Otherwise, the experience was terrible. My partner and I came in just to get a few drinks and some wings. We walked inside the restaurant at 5:09 exactly. We waited at our table with two female waiters watching us for a good 20 minutes before we were even “greeted”. We paid for pool even though the waiter came over and said that it was supposed to be open and free the whole time. We finally got to ordered drinks, we ordered our food at the same time. About 15 minutes after a couple walked in, two chairs down on the open ended table along with us. They received their food and drinks before us, finally we said “let’s wait 10 more minutes and if the food doesn’t arrive we will leave” ten minutes later. An hour being in the restaurant. We decided to leave because our food still hadn’t come.

We get it. It’s a sports bar. Open seating, but when someone has seen and acknowledged you and still doesn’t come to help and you’re watching the people next to you eat their meal after you’ve already ordered it gets a little frustrating.

It believe it or not felt very racially charged that everyone except for us were catered to.

Worst bar in Aurora Colorado you can possibly go to. My waiter was so awfully rude, my jalapeno poppers weren't even cooked fully it's like you went back there and told him to pull him so he can hurry up because he was just tired of being there he was tired of waiting tables. Mind you I asked to sit outside but he told me that heaters weren't on. So I stayed inside once I finish my meal; come to find out they were on. He was just being simply rude and racist! And it was very visible. He caused a scene in front of everybody being rude once again apologizing which he really didn't mean it. He had been outside several times to smoke cigarettes while on the clock waiting food. So I don't understand why he lied. I've been coming to challenges for 10 years he's always been rude, mainly to black people. I don't understand🤷🏽‍♀️if he doesn't like his job he should find somewhere else to work. His excuse was he's tired. But that's not a reason to treat people so rude and racist. I asked to speak to a manager about his behavior but his manager gave an excuse didn't apologized and said he's "dumbfounded" ... If you're a American that is black definitely don't come to this place you're definitely going to get the worst service possible 👎🏽 if it's not you you'll see it among the many being treated...

I visited the bar on Sunday November 21st to watch the rest of the Broncos game after a round of golf. No one greeted me when I arrived. The server took over 20 minutes to serve me water after walking by me multiple times and seemed to have an attitude for me asking to be served. I ordered a beer and waited. Another 10 minutes went by so I went to the bar to ask for a beer. The bartender gave me attitude and wouldn't serve me . I explained that my server hasn't come back to serve me that was why I came to the bar. He still refused to serve me . I then asked for another glass of water. The bartender then slammed the glass into the ice completely filled the glass with ice and filled it with less than 2 ounces of water... I went back to my table and waited another 20 minutes to never receiving the beer in ordered 40 minutes ago. I walked out. It seems that the servers and bartenders don't care about how they treat their guests.

I do not recommend going to this bar as the quality of food and service sucks and they need better servers with manners and service as their concern.
