Wonderful place to hike and take in the wildlife. There is a little pond there that used to be great to take a kid fishing. Its supposed to be catch and release but some people have to ruin it for everyone else. Not too many fish in there any more and it appears all the turtles are gone as well. Still a beautiful place to hike and have a good day. Nice picnic area on the walking trail over the wetlands. Dont go right before or after a rainstorm. Certain areas are underwater during rains or in the spring with run off. You might catch some bluegill and come little crappie in the pond. Please put them back so some one else can enjoy them too.. I havnt seen a deer there yet but that does not mean they arent out there. The eagles nests are cool to see. The turtles used to be cool as well. Real nice place to take your kids. Lots of trails and wildlife. Do watch for snakes there is alot of downed trees and brush areas. I have not seen a rattlesnake there yet only evidence of them being there. Bull snakes closely resemble them and its hard to tell them apart until...

Great little park that serves the small neighborhood and the very nearby medical campus (there is another park blocks away, haven't visited that one yet). Ignore reviews that complain about fallen trees. That is what Nature is. Every object there serves a purpose in the Ecosystem, helping create balance. Whether as a home for little critters, insects that feed on decaying matter, as shade for smaller ground cover vegetation, or as fertilizer, the fallen trees help maintain the balance all ecosystems require. This is not your lawn grass, playground equipment kind of park. It's a decent sized little park with well defined trails, a pond and marsh-style wetland, and plenty of living trees with many nests (some squirrel, some bird). It's definitely worth a visit. If you do come, DON'T LITTER! And pick up any trash you do see other clowns have disrespectfully tossed here or there. If you see someone litter, call them out...

This park is very pretty and quite large for a neighborhood park.. it has 3 parts to it. But Only went to the end parking lot with a bridge entrance, only one parking space..? I didn't stay as I was dropping off a friend. When I went back to get them at sunset. It showcased some great views. That being said, there are some downsides. The location is quite far if you're not local to the area, and, in my opinion, it is definitely hard to navigate too day or evening, even with Google maps or other mapping/directional platforms. "Have a full tank of gas!🙃" Still would be an awesome place to picnic," " Have fun," and "Never...

Bring real shoes, not sandals or any open toe due to broken glass, or sharp sticks, lots of thistles, and occasionally snakes. Possibly even long pants. Maybe bug spray. Lots of mosquito bites and yellow jackets. We were eaten to bits by mosquitoes. It's sad there are so many invasive plant species taking over the natural plant life. This place known as a make out or spot for other activities, so if you don't mind seeing people in various states of lovemaking or other questionable activities I think it's a great place for a walk, lots of shade.

I love this park. Sadly the wet land are turning into the dry lands though. City of Aurora, take all that money we give to you and clean up the downed trees. Its like a tree cemetery. Heck there are broken and downed branches in other dead branches 20 feet in the air. But other then the possible fire and crush damage, I will always think of the park as a hidden gem. Please if your reading this don't go there, keep it hidden, even from yourself!

Very nice park with walking trails, a small pond, wildlife and a butterfly garden. This will be even better in a month or so when there are leaves, but now you could see the big nests in the trees. Saw geese feeding, several birds including a woodpecker and some rabbits on this visit. There are some benches along the way and a lookout where you can sit and watch.
