Hubert C. Schroeter Neighborhood Park — Attraction in Austin

This park is great. There's a few swings, a playscape, and a basketball court. Although, they put boards over the hoops, so you can't play basketball. My son is really upset about that. You can play at the park, swings, slides, and all that - but you cannot play basketball.

The park is kept clean and nice looking. There are a lot of cactus around the trails, so if you have small children or dogs that like to roam, be on the look...

I've been in much smaller parks, so I liked the place and disagree that it is "small," as stated by others. Trails, picnic tables, perimeter track for walking or running, neighborhood friendly, dog walking, open spaces for frolicking, a playground, and a swing set at separate areas. No real exercise station (no pullup bar or parallel bars) or public bathroom though, which could both help improve the amenities at...

It's a park. Crunchy gravel trails, untamed wildflower areas, some swings/playground equipment, a lawn area. It does seem to be pet friendly, which is a plus. It's a pleasant little neighborhood park: nice if you live nearby and probably helps property values for the houses immediately surrounding it, but nothing worth making a special trip for if you don't live...
