Balcones Public Park Hiking Trail — Attraction in Austin

Quiet, convenient nature trail right in the heart of suburban North Austin on either side of Duval Road.

Basically a strip of undeveloped woodland running mostly alongside a normally dry creek bed that lies perpendicular to Duval, below the street level, and flows under it. Well-trodden dirt trails are suitable for a flat hike, a jog or walking the dog.
