I tried Sitafal and it was taste like vanilla 🥲 Updated-

I was really excited to try Kwality—liking their flavors . But I was totally taken aback when they charged me extra for a spoon! I ordered my usual regular falooda, and then—what?—a small plastic spoon tacked on my bill for $0.50?😠

I get that some spots charge for split scoops or premium mix-ins, but a freakin’ spoon?? That felt penny-pinching and totally unnecessary. I asked if it was a joke, and the employee basically shrugged like it was normal.

I’ve been to plenty of local ice‑cream shops, and never once had to pay for basic utensils. Especially at an artisanal place like this. It left a sour taste in my mouth—more than the cheapest sorbet.

The ice cream itself was decent, but now I’m questioning whether I'll go back. For me, adding a spoon cost more than just the quarter—they lost a loyal customer over it.

The staff came off as arrogant and borderline rude—like they couldn’t be bothered with basic courtesy. No smile, no greeting, no patience with questions. And on top of that, charging for a spoon? Really? That’s just petty and says a lot about where their priorities are.

I get it—they’re busy, they’ve got customers lined up, maybe they think they’ve “made it.” But success doesn’t give you a free pass to treat people poorly. If anything, it should raise your standards, not drop them.

Good ice cream doesn’t make up for bad attitudes. There are plenty of other places in Austin that still care about service and quality. I’ll be taking my business there from now on.

Thanks for the explanation, but your response only reinforces the arrogant and unprofessional attitude we experienced at your store. It’s not about the extra $0.50 — it’s the way you handled a simple request with such rigidity and condescension. Refusing a refund for unused spoons under the guise of "hygiene" after the dessert was already served is just an excuse. Instead of showing basic courtesy to customers, you chose to lecture us over a minor issue. Small businesses thrive on good service and humility — unfortunately, both were missing...

First time trying Indian icecream flavors and desserts. Honestly there’s so many icecream flavors and desserts it became a little overwhelming coupled with the fact that we could only try a max of 3 flavors and there were multiple people coming in at different times looking to order. We ordered the masala soda off of recommendations for the most popular soda and the mango kulfi falooda just because it was popular and looked good on the menu.

The masala soda is definitely an acquired taste. The same spice ‘masala’ in tikka masala (for those ignorant like us) is used in the drink and it has a salty taste to it. Refreshing once you get used to it but it’s a little more salty for us than we like to be fully refreshing. The mango kulfi falooda tasted pretty good. A little sugary after it’s been awhile of eating it but good nonetheless.

The inside of the store is small and only holds 2 small tables, not enough given the volume of people we saw...

As much as i was excited to visit this place , i was so upset with the service and attitude of the people at this location. There is no one to welcome in and they don't have a queue to order food. I was in queue for almost 10 minutes and people just enter, stand in front of counter. order ice cream and go. I was like waiting for someone to attend me as they clearly have a board saying , to request if we need anything . but no one is there to even ask people waiting in queue, The ice-creams are so over priced. we took , 2 scoops and they were like kids scoops and the person , who was serving was so lazy to even serve those 2 kids scoops for $8.45. Well. I think people mainly visit because of the flavors , and i agree that Kwality has unique flavors , but customer service should also be taken care. and pricing. Please make sure , if you price so high , try to at-least satisfy the customer with...

Kwality Ice Cream is simply exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile from the employees and the delightful aroma of freshly made waffle cones. The variety of flavors is incredible, ranging from classic vanilla and chocolate to unique options like mango and rose. Each scoop is creamy, rich, and bursting with authentic taste. The quality is evident in every bite. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer samples and help with recommendations. The cozy atmosphere and impeccable service make it the perfect spot for a sweet treat. I highly recommend Kwality Ice Cream to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable ice cream experience and definitely will recommend the Ferrero Rocher Shake to anyone that has a sweet tooth!
