Violet Street Florist — Attraction in Avalon

I have used Violet Street Florist a few times. This time I ordered a funeral arrangement and I was extremely disappointed. The arrangement came in a replica of an old milk jug ceramic container with the words Fresh Garden written on it. How inappropriate for a funeral. I said I wanted something unique. The arrangement was unique but the problem was they sent an identical floral arrangement only in a different vase. The other arrangement actually looked better because the flowers were closer together and it looked fuller. I guarantee they paid way less than I did. I have never seen a florist send the exact arrangement to a funeral even when numerous arrangements were sent. Not unique when you send two identical arrangements. They only sent two. I assume they only have limited flowers at their disposal hence the duplication. The arrangement included tulips which did not open in time. To say I was embarrassed is putting it mildly. More than one person said that at the minimum, the jug should have been turned around so the writing was not visible. The main problem with the shop is that they do not have sample arrangements displayed on their website. The customer is at the discretion of the shop. The owner is young and inexperienced. She quite literally designed these florals for our wedding from the ground up. I had no idea where to start and she let her amazing ideas flow. We met and she so easily was able to suggest the perfect look. It felt like Tara knew what I wanted before I even did and man did she deliver! It was a flawless experience from start to finish. We were going for burgundy & navy wedding colors. There was a beautiful burgundy dahlia is asked about for my bridal bouquet and she wasn’t sure if she could get it around my wedding date. It wasn’t that big of a deal, but what did she do?! She surprised me and she freaking grew them herself!! My mind was blown. The level of service and commitment she has is unmatched. I could sing her praises all day just please trust me on this, you want, no you NEED Tara and Violet Street Florist for any and all of your floral arrangements!! We buy her flowers regularly and I’m so so soooo thankful she helped create such a magical wedding for us. We will never go anywhere else because we feel like it doesn’t get better than her. I highly recommend Violet Street for all your needs. My sister-in-law picked up our flowers on the day of my wedding and the first thing out of her mouth when she called was, “the flowers are gorgeous” … and she couldn’t have been more on point. Tara, the owner of Violet Street, took all of my requests and specific inspiration into consideration from thoughtfully placing some sentimental, personal items in the bouquet to enhancing our wedding palette color. Violet Street executed our bridal party bouquets, mother’s corsages, men’s boutonnieres, and our ceremony arch pieces … all were complimentary in look to each other and all were stunning. As mentioned, we picked the pieces up, and the arch decor was already preziptied, easily able to be put up by us, the non-experts, that was key.
