Thereās a few funny irony to these few particular subscription access retailers which are⦠-1st for a parallel, we suffer commercials watching free over the air/live streaming TV because that makes them FREE⦠but if you pay for say, HBO/ Showtime subscription you help to supply the operational revenue directly and therefore enjoy watching āpremium contentā without ads/solicitations and rightfully so!!! And while weāre welcome to walk into any Shaws or Wegmans, etc. at no charge and NOT have a random solar, cell phone etc. salesperson trying to hunt you down a main isle, for some reason at Costco they see fit to have us all pay the damn premium just for entry only to then expose shoppers to these solicitor āinsults to injuryā once inside. š¤·š»āāļøš¤·š½āāļø -That said 2nd, Costco should manage border control with they way theyāve mastered all the gratuitous card check points! Be it either man powered at the door & self check out lines or the POS system scans (speaking for my at my locals at least). God forbid a non member want to give them some revenue ha.. But many of us know the big secret already donāt we?⦠that more than half of their operational revenue comes from the membership fees ALONE even if you rarely actually shop there for the yearš¤«!!.. So for them the card compliance paranoia has a pay off while it be a total PIA of redundancy for shoppers (well for those shoppers whom the staff of the shift selectively subject to them that is if weāre keeping it šÆ% right) š«¢š³ š! So how about they invest/use what can now be considered basic tech at their entrances and simply have 100% of Customers scan cards/phones at the door with a big screen simultaneously bringing up our face for the posted staff to immediately confirm and keep it moving as the 1 and only check point other than the POS scan. And for the love of god NIX the pseudo receipt checking Gestapo posted at the exit under the guise of value added customer service!!šš because itās not fooling nor consoling anyone as such an is only to give the perception of loss prevention controls but like the multiple card checks only signal how little faith Costcos has in its own current system & staff at any given station... š Self check out is the only station that should possibly require a double check (via eyes on the receipt) and SCO should therefore only be for low item totals only as in

I was very upset this day because I did not know how strict and stern the rules were, and I was so annoyed especially being left without anything in the middle of a snowstorm. HOWEVER, we did end up signing up for a membership and we have gone many times. Theyāre still strict as hell with their memberships, but I wanted to share about the lovely Denise at the food court. Sheās such a fun lady, who does her best to get the line down at the food court (which is not easy since itās always so busy). I am keeping the original review up, but I wanted to shout Denise out for always making the experience enjoyable.
This Costco is very... uncompromising. I understand there are rules and procedures to follow, but some circumstances are NOT that deep. We went to this location earlier and we had to use our friendās card because we live further away, and thereās no point in us signing up for a membership if we only go once a year. Our friend needed something and was physically unable to get it himself, so we went to pick it up for him with his membership card, deciding to also pick things up for ourselves too.
No questions were asked when we walked in and showed them the card. It was when we filled the cart and got to the cashier when things got complicated. The name on our ID wasnāt the same as it was on the card, and we had to have the person present to be able to buy. The lady at the cashier brought in two other workers and it was a whole fiasco and told us we had to sign up to buy it. There was also another customer at the membership station that had trouble with paying because they didnāt have their ID with them to prove it.
To the three middle aged ladies who were working in the front around 5:30pm, was it ever that serious?? šš
We went in trying to buy some groceries; but it felt like we were under interrogation

My father became a member in 1991 because my mom worked at the post office at the time and government employees only were allowed to join. Also, the employees are very nice. Cindy is one of the longest employees and she was part of the opening team at this store back in 1991. She is still there and she knows her stuff about this store. Also, the stuffed peppers are found in the food department and they are handmade. They are tasty as prepared foods. Furthermore, the food court sells beefy and affordable hot dogs that I like. Also, the prices are affordable and tons of things are in bulk. The samples are mostly grocery-related and this is a very great thing. I love the samples and I like trying the juices that they offer. Also, the jewelry is located in a back room oom next to the food court with laptops and other valuable items. We need to fill out an order form and take it to an employee at the register in order for the worker to open the room where the laptops, jewelry and other valuable items are stored. The jewelry case is located in the front and I love checking out all the golden rings and golden jewelry in it. Also, the watches are also located in ths same room as the jewelry. I like the selection of watches because they have interesting colors on them. Also, the store is the closest one to where I live in Brockton. I like how the TVs are close to the entrance in rows. The only thing I don't like is how the handicapped spaces are not close together and that is a problem for members with mobility problems. Gold Star Membership stays a good price monthly and annually, but there is inflation going on from time to time. I recommend people to get a Costco card anyway because the card is for membership and we can have savings on food, clothing and other items compared to...
