Star Nail Salon — Attraction in Baltimore

I used to come to this salon years ago and loved it. I went back yesterday for a fill-in because i was in the area. My nails are so bad, I am going to have to pay to get them fixed somewhere else. The acrylic is so thick and uneven, my nails look lumpy. Their prices are higher than every other salon around them and it’s a complete waste of money. The polish was so thick and rather than thinning it out, he put two coats and a top coat, which added to the thickness and they seriously were not dry an hour later. Messed them up and had to re-polish them myself. They never offered me water or refreshment of any kind. They also use the same nail file on multiple clients which is a huge health and safety violation and reportable to Maryland DLLR, with hefty fines. I noticed that the place looks nicer and they have added some additional services to their menu but the quality I received yesterday was by far, without a doubt, the WORST I have received there (or anywhere, really). I will NEVER go back and I suggest you just keep it moving to the next place too. I also got my eyebrows waxed and while I don’t have any major issues, there’s two important things to know- 1. They do it out in the open area in front of everyone- absolutely no privacy, which I find to be unprofessional. They don’t trim them, which is kind of a standard procedure...

DO NOT GO HERE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!!! This salon is absolutely terrible. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. They are liars and scammers. My little sister got her nails done today for her school dance. The first picture is what we asked for and the second one is what she got. We showed him the first picture before he started. We spent 10-15 mins making sure he could he do it and that we had a set price. He explained how he would do it. He told us that it was $55. I left and came back to pick her up. She paid. I seen her nails afterwards and I asked her why her nails looked differently. She told me that he drew a line straight across. When she asked for the curves on the end he made a slight curve. When she asked him to do the design shown in the picture, he told her it would be an extra $25 DESPITE the fact that we showed him exactly what she wanted ahead of time. My experience here was terrible and it's crazy because I have been serviced here previously. I went for a pedicure and full set. The pedicure I chose was SUPPOSE to come with a light foot massage and lotion. The "wanna be" nail technician Lee did not perform those services, she stopped at putting oil on my legs and feet she was very lazy. After the wanna be pedicure I sat and waited about an hour for someone to do my nails. I went to Kevin and explained to him how I didn't get the pedicure I paid for, he said something to make me shut up I assume because when he showed the price of the pedicure it was still for what I HAD NOT received. He started my nails and was very rude and impatient. He also called me crazy. To conclude this the service I got today was horrible and I will not be returning...
