I decided I HAD to try Peruvian food after watching Mark Wiens videos on Peru. Planned out my recipes and then decided to taste something authentic. This place was great! Made my order over the phone and picked up to avoid the 14 dollars in fees from Grubhub 💀. Food was ready before I even got out of the house!! I know bc they called when it was ready. I'm glad I went in bc I was able to get some of the Chicha (Peruvian purple corn) drink and Inca cola which wasn't on Grubhubs list. I ordered the lomo salatado? (Peruvian beef stir fry) and a salmon dish. I tried the fried Yucca and plantains. They had all the aji's from the videos too. Very exciting to watch again and eat along with Mark as he traveled and ate through Peru! Portions were big and delicious!! I was able to share with kids and still be stuffed. No worries with how much they got. I'm glad I didn't just make my own. So nice to taste authentic. The restaurant inside was very clean, well lit and very technologically savvy inside. Everything was covid compliant; 6 foot spacing, masks and shields separating the staff from the customers. Other than touching the bag that the cashier passes you through the shield, you never come in contact with anyone. The nice part is that it's situated so that you can still dine in! They have big booths which are well spaced They are set up to be seated for every other booth and the smaller tables inside are placed far apart. Unlike most places, I would be comfortable dining there but I took my food home. I do plan on ordering...
Read moreMy experience was horrible. I felt the racism and rudeness from the young lady behind the counter. My two children and myself were standing in line(the only blacks) while in line I moved as the line moved. This was my first time here and I though I was doing what I was supposed too. When approaching the register their young lady walked a way ( I assumed she was coming going to come back down, instead she proceeded to help the man behind me) I said excuse me, that's when she said can I help you, I said yes I will like to order. She then told me that I was suppose to order where the glass started and then turned towards the man I proceeded to take his order. He even stopped her and said I was before him. I then said to her I didn't know but I'm in line. She shrugged her shoulders and told me I will have to get back in line to order, after I have stood in line and waited like everyone else. I then asked for a manager, she said they didn't have one. I had my two daughters with me and to keep things from escalating I took them and left. I will be filing an discrimination suit against El...
Read moreUpdate... Since April 20th This place has created a monster🤪🤣since the reopening of El Grand Pollo. My mother ordered lone of her favorites on the menu. Its a garden salad with their signature grilled chicken on top.😋 She was disappointed because it wasn't prepared the way she likes it. When I think about it ,it's FUNNY, and also impressive. A 75 year old Greatgrandmother STILL has a PALIT "so on point "she can taste every season and can tell if every veggie on her salad was FRESH or frozen, or has sat in the "WALKIN" fridge for days. We later learned that a NEW employee prepared her food. 🫢🤔🤔The manager told me he spoke with his staff and in a "blink of an eye."😉😜 THIS "SPOILED ROTTEN GRANNY"😋 IS now eating with a huge smile , and her OPINION about her favorite restaurant has been restored to 5-STARS
Thanks, Excellent customer service
Signed ..... SPOILED ROTTEN GRANNY...
