Even though it was mid-march there had been an extremely hard freeze so there was actually quite a bit of ice right near the shore in the harbor which is kind of cool. The water itself is amazingly Crystal clear usually what I would expect to see in the Caribbean. I think the main reason for that was simply that the nutrients that you usually find in the North Atlantic I think are have to have a little bit of warmth in the water and obviously this is still mid Winter cold water but the clarity was amazing.
