Being from Florida this was a beautiful location to tour/view while visiting Maine. We camped at Bar Harbor KOA and were able to take the trolley into this area. Such a convenient way to travel and see the surrounding area. Our bus stop was right in front of a Fire dept/police dept and restrooms so that was very helpful for all my children. We even got to take a tour of the fire station soon as we got off.
There was a lot to see and do here. Wished we had more time. We would definitely love to come back hey one day.
Ate at Route 66. Very fun, unique place. Ask about the history of you find in. Food was great!! A bit pricey though, just fyi.

There is a gazebo with bands playing seasonally, and there is many stores nearby. All Island Explorer buses start here, so is great way to get around the island quick.
