What a gem! My husband and I visited for our 29th Anniversary trip to Belmont County. We were taking part in the Bigfoot Geotour, but couldn’t pass this up! Huge and gorgeous down to each tiny detail! The gentleman giving the tour was very knowledgable and interesting. Did a wonderful job! This is the perfect place to photograph! So many rooms, so many antiques, so little time. The photos tell an entire story without even saying a word, but it was amazing to hear about it all. I could visit again and probably spot all different things. Would love to come back at Christmas to visit! Thank you!!! Will return!

A wonderful time-travelling experience! Beautifully preserved with period appropriate renovations where necessary. Each room is exactly what I would expect to see in a Victorian home based on my love and novice understanding of the period.

The wood work and floors are breathtaking! Our guide was able to comment on every detail in the home from the wallpaper, fireplaces, and mirrors. Even down to tiny little artifacts on the ladies tables.

Staff are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about this piece of Barnsville history. We were given a tour when we arrived unexpectedly and we felt very welcomed.

Looking forward to going back at...

This place is a real hidden gem in Belmont Count. I have lived here for over 10 years and had never heard of it. The Belmont County Hisotircal Sociery had a special silent move night. The inside was a fascinating trip back through time. The house is decorated in authentic furniture and decorations. I was impressed at how much of the stuff was original to the house. Everyone there was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the house at the time period (late 1800s) when it was built. The coolest thing for me was the light fixtures. They were made for either gas burning or electricity....
