My wife and I stopped in at Golden Muse for the first time last week. Although it's located just a few short miles from our home, somehow we had missed this gem of a winery before. We were immediately struck by the sophisticated, eclectic decor and the artful ambience of the tasting room. It's DNA is a lovely mixture of the Golden Age of France mixed with Steampunk influences. Beautiful, original art is displayed all around. In fact, an entire wing of the winery is an art gallery where incredible original pieces are displayed (many of which are for sale). The wines are truly stellar with some rare varieties that complement their more familiar ones. We opted for the Alfred Jarry Chardonnay first, which was delightfully light and beautifully balanced. Then we went for the Queen of Joy Traminette. This is a distinct, slightly floral and complex white wine that we loved and will certainly have again. Finally, we tried their house Sangria which was fabulous (especially with the honey rimmed glass). We were lucky enough to visit with the owner, Analisa for several minutes. She was most gracious and giving of her time. Her story is a rather incredible one and worth hearing. What a fantastically talented person she is!
Golden Muse is a place that makes Southwest Michigan special. In a world of boring, chain-modeled tourist experiences, Golden Muse instead celebrates history, individuality, creativity, and sophistication. If you want a basic, cookie-cutter wine tasting experience there are plenty of places to go for that. If you want an enlightening experience that goes beyond just sipping a few glasses, go to the Golden Muse. You will...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped here on a wine tour and had a wonderful experience. The wine was great and I enjoyed the unique labels and other items for sale. We picked up a few bottles to take home with us. The entire back area was an art gallery with some unique and beautiful pieces some of which were for sale and some which were from the owner's personal collection. We also had a fascinating conversation with the manager who poured the tastings. It's definitely an atypical experience compared to some of the other nearby wineries and tasting rooms but I would highly recommend taking the time to check Golden Muse out if you are in the area. Another reviewer mentioned the steampunk aesthetic and that was definitely one of my...

The art on display added a unique and inspiring touch—everyone loved it! Many of us left with bottles of wine in hand, a testament to how much we enjoyed the selections. We also really appreciated the alcohol-free options, which made the experience inclusive for all.
Thank you to the team at Golden Muse for your flexibility and hospitality. We’re already looking forward to...
