The Local — Restaurant in Baroda Township

FOUR YEARS LATER. Still WAITING for 35 minutes for a breakfast burrito and bacon and eggs. Lesson learned. Never coming here again. The food and coffee is fine but I don't have all day to wait for food. This is ridiculous

Eat before you come if you come for a weekend breakfast. You'll be here until lunch.

After being open for more than a year, you would think they would have dialed it in already and fixed their kitchen issues. I STILL am waiting an hour for a bfast burrito and some eggs. Theres two other tables that are here who have been waiting longer than us. This is ridiculous. Come during the week. Stay away on the weekends. I've FINALLY leanred my lesson.

Finally! Fresh flavorful breakfast in SW MI!!! After moving here last year from Chicago, finding a good breakfast spot with avocado, fresh fruit, lattes, iced coffee etc. has been a challenge. Enter The Local!!!! Everything we had was fantastic and I can't wait to go back to try more things. Only issue we had was on a weekend the wait was over 45 minutes. I get why though!...

The food. Unsanitary. The way it's handled and prepared and served is unhealthy. Then to deny my children serve because I am speaking truth from my work experience

Your servers eat off the food trays in the kitchen. Then serve you without washing. They eat off your plates when your done. Then again no washing.

I tried to get the other cook to get more on board of sanitation. I was continously sick with strep working. And they still knew and had me come in. My truths are my truths. They are not slander. I don't call anyone out of their name. I'm speaking full truths of the dishwasher views and Cooks view.

Also. I have the medical papers with dates times and also paystubs to prove. I was working with strep. And they tried to make me keep working loose hours train someone bt not tell me. And when I refused less hours. Or to train. Without the notice or proper pay....

Place was infested with nats I left as quickly as I tried the food. I don't think that a child cup of coffee should be more then Starbucks, and it sucks. The waiter and the owner were both very rude when I asked why it was so much. It seemed like a good local spot to enjoy but would have rather went to red coach instead. Would not recommend and wouldn't waste the money.

This company can't even take accountability. Comes off as passive aggressive instead of fixing their issues. The people who worked there also informed them of piling raw and cooked meat on piles of dirty dishes. So if you're wondering why you're sick that's it.
