Milford Wampold Memorial Park — Attraction in Baton Rouge

Small park with tiny "beach". Nice views of the lake, but not much for little kids to do other than play in sand. If the master plan for the lakes happens, it will become a much nicer place. There is a boat ramp used mainly by kayakers or paddleboarders for accessing the water. There is a fishing pier, currently in bad condition with broken boards, so watch your step

There is a small exercise station and water fountains. Good access to running paths around the lakes. Single occupant restrooms are dirty and often locked. Food vendors are often around on nice weekends.

There are some BBQ grills and shade under trees for picnics, but watch out for fire ants!

Update: construction has finally started on dredging the lakes as of July 2022. Note that some of the parking area may be closed for construction equipment. Not currently under construction as...

The area looks beautiful. Aparently the restrooms cabin will never update. Everytime you get inside the restrooms you need to think twice because the smell can kill you... Is in all that wood that never gets changed... I am very dissapointed in what do they have to offer... Wile Europe already have automated public bathrooms, beautiful and easy to be cleaned, the 2017 America is never going to evolve and will keep the smell of that urine in the wooden walls of any poor public restroom, for ages and until everything you can breathe is the air full bacteria of anyone's pee and poop... Guys... y'all make enough money to replace that antique and trashy bathrooms with something new and even more easy to...

Timings:6 AM to 8 PM.

This park is nearly 4 miles and it’s suitable for jogger’s,runners ,cyclists and walkers. Here you will see people walking with their pet animals and fishing.

Plenty of open space to play with pet animals .

There are two lakes and also there is a bridge at the park and had several padlocks/combination locks with couples.

There is small outdoor gym station near parking area .

This track is beautiful with beautiful trees,lakes ,birds ,Ducks and turtles and here there are benches around the track where you can relax for some time.

Here people can enjoy kayaking ,sunset...
