Terrible experience with Sabrina today. We did pony rides for my daughter and 8 of her cousins. My daughter was very loudly scolded and screamed at by cast member ‘Sabrina’, yelling at her to STOP KICKING THE PONY at the top of her lungs, scaring everyone in the area causing them to whip their heads around to see what’s going on, which she was not kicking as we were all watching her, she’s 40 lbs and wearing foam sandals, my daughter looked up completely confused and bewildered that she was just screamed at for something that she wasn’t doing. She was so embarrassed and on the verge of tears, and let’s say she was kicking the pony, screaming at a child is the way to go? When my husband addressed her and he said no problem if she was doing it was that extreme reaction necessary? She said yes she the pony told her it was frustrated and she had told her multiple times, which she did NOT, she was putting another cousin on a pony while she was riding. Words can come out harshly sometimes, but instead of apologizing she doubled down that it was necessary. Well if you can’t stand children, how to properly speak to them, and handle situations, you shouldn’t work at “Most Magical place on Earth”.
We own multiple horses and she’s a moderately experienced rider, as well as her father who was walking her. I value the horses well-being and would definitely have stopped her myself if she was mistreating the...
Read moreDon’t expect a ‘Disney Experience’ nothing is fun and friendly. The horses are amazing, well behaved. The people preparing the horses are like robots no enthusiasm whatsoever. The guides who take you out- not friendly and not one person spoke b/c of the atmosphere the guides set. I think what sent the tone was one of the guides yelled ‘ride like we have told you and respect the horses’ NO ONE had ridden before😳. It was promised at the end of the ride that we could take photos, the guides kept repeating ‘over to the mounting block, over to the mounting block’ to get off- no photos and we came a long way to ride at Disney. Our entire group of strangers listened, even afraid to ask for photos. We spoke about the ride afterwards (after the staff ran away- it was so strange) everyone on that ride was afraid to speak and were expecting the ‘Disney experience’. I don’t normally leave reviews whether good or bad but felt that people should know there are better equestrian facilities out there that are friendly and lovely to speak with. Right from signing the waivers to the people getting the horses together and the guides it was a very unpleasant stressful interaction. The guests discussed maybe this team be trained on the Disney Experience I.e. being friendly and helpful. Or replace the staff with folks that want to be there and...
Read morePlans ruined! We were looking forward to visiting the Circle D ranch as our 11 year old son rides in the rodeo circuit and our 2 year old daughter is in love with horses. We took an Uber to the campground as we stayed at a good neighbor hotel this trip. When we got to the gate, Leona, asked if we had a reservation. I told her no, that we just wanted to visit Circle D. She rudely replied, " you have to be bussed in or have a confirmation number." I then asked her about walk-ins? She proceeded to say "make a u turn!" And turned her back to us and would not speak to us any longer. At this point, we had no choice but to make the u turn and ask the Uber driver to drop us off at disney springs. (That was our other stop in our plans.) Even our Uber driver picked up on her vibe and he could barely speak English..but said she was mean. This lady Leona, does not need to be the first face that people see upon arriving to the campground. We are planning on becoming DVC members in the near future and this was a total turn off. She could have done something to help us out. If ubers weren't allowed to drop people off then it should say it on the website where it clearly states pony rides are walkins only. Hopefully on our next visit we can experience Circle D without having to...
