I am extremely disappointed with the dining experience I had. My party of 3 (including myself) arrived at 5pm on June 18th and were seated promptly. However, what followed was a series of frustrating events that ruined our evening.
After ordering two starters, we noticed that tables seated after us and even people who arrived later and sat at the bar were served their food before us. By 5:37pm, we began to worry as our starters hadn't arrived. When we inquired about the delay, our waiter Liu informed us that the ticket machine was broken and our order would take longer. It was clear to us that this was just an excuse to cover up the fact that he had forgotten to submit our order in the first place.
By 6pm, despite having waited patiently for nearly an hour, we decided to leave. We requested to speak to a manager to express our dissatisfaction, but instead of addressing our concerns properly, Liu attempted to appease us by comping our drinks (which we had to ask for) and discouraging us from speaking to the manager. This gesture felt insincere and did not compensate for the poor service and wasted time.
Overall, the dining service at was abysmal. The blatant negligence and lack of professionalism displayed by our waiter ruined what should have been a pleasant evening out. We left hungry and thoroughly disappointed. Needless to say, we will not be returning and will not recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable dining experience. For a bar and quick serve, it...
Read moreWe like to get a meal at Geyser Point and usually schedule it just after the sun sets completely. We enjoy many things about Disney World and the resorts, but don't care for the crowded spaces around the main attractions. Here is the way we do it. We get a takeout meal from Geyser Point by ordering it using the Disney app on our phones. This is timed to be a few minutes before whenever the Magic Kingdom Fireworks show is announced to begin. From the outdoor patio next to the Geyser Point space, we take our to-go meals to a table and watch the fireworks. The view is good, but certain seats will have a few pine tree branches to look through. The tables with the best view fill up first, so it's no secret to what I'm explaining. Then after the fireworks, we stay for the illuminated boats show out on Bay Lake. Again the view from the Geyser Point area is close to ideal. The only better view would be from another boat. As for the food in the to-go meals, it ranges from good to very good. We like getting the salads with either chicken or salmon on top. You won't go wrong with those. By default, they come with peanut salad dressing. We like to substitute this with a more standard dressing flavor, which we do at the takeout window. The best part of this was we saw the fireworks and illuminated boat show while avoiding the crowded masses where most...
Read moreMy experience at this location was disappointing. It was my first time here, and I wanted to enjoy a drink with my family by the lake. However, the bartender refused to serve my son, even though he presented his government-issued driver's license. We had been at the resort for over 6 days and had used the same identification without any issues at other venues and restaurants on and off the property. We were not informed that we also needed to carry our passports with us. The Cast Member during check-in had assured us that it would not be necessary within the resort premises. When the bartender insisted on the passport for serving drinks, I decided to forgo the beverages and leave. The bartender then called out to me as I was walking away to speak to his manager, but I chose to ignore him. Discovering this requirement in such a manner truly marred the experience. However, we were able to purchase what we needed at the quick-service Roaring Fork without the need for a passport. I am perfectly willing to adhere to the rules, but I was unaware that both a passport and a government ID were required, as I discovered later. It puzzles me why this has not been requested by any other establishment we visited. They seemed to accept just the government issued driver’s license. We will be carrying both ID’s moving forward for the rest of...
