Discovery Island — Local services in Bay Lake

It was very hard to get onto the island but I had an excellent time once I did. It appears to contain some sort of secret agent-themed interactive adventure where your goal is to evade a bunch of security guards bent on putting you in handcuffs and taking you back to the mainland. I thought the concept was cute but a little too easy to win. The security guards wouldn't even enter some of the buildings for so-called "safety reasons," meaning I could easily camp out in them for hours.

They finally caught me after I left my hiding spot to use the bathroom and rather brutally "arrested" me before escorting me off the island. As someone who's been arrested many times I can tell you the process was as realistic as can be. And get this- they even pretended to put me on the park's ban list! The sheer level of immersion they create here is unbelievable.

But although the experience was fantastic, the food and drinks were not. The concessions area was totally devoid of employees and required you serve yourself... which wouldn't have been an issue except there was no food to be found! I had to dig through piles upon piles of dirt and asbestos to find something even remotely edible. The throwback labels on the soda dispenser were neat but the soda itself was atrocious. My Sprite tasted like it had been fermenting in there since, like, 1999 or something. Or maybe its just a new flavor.

Overall, I'd rate this destination 3/5 stars. Its score would have been higher if Disney had made the island more accessible to its guests. I had to swim through gator and bacteria-infested water to get there, which could potentially be a problem for young and elderly visitors. But if you're a decent swimmer who wants some adventure, I highly recommend that you go! It's a once in a lifetime experience. (Literally. They still won't let...

it shut down in 1998 and was almost never seen in 30 years.never seen again...

another place is a water park but banned by disney again and reason why was because a boy that was 5 years old and their family went there after they had fun something happened....

It was very nice and fun to visit. The first thing I found weird, though, was that my phone automatically connected to a suspicious Wi-Fi that was present on the island. It was called "Radio Nick" so I'm assuming it's someone's hot spot I was just able to pick up. Another thing was that they didn't really move the animals, they just let them out of containment. I got to see one of the vultures and while I was in its company I managed to find some papers and a map of the island. It almost seemed like the vulture was leading me, but that's a crazy thought. As I kept exploring I got lightheaded and I was probably hallucinating when I saw arms come out of the ground and try to drag me down.
