Latin Groove Dance Academy — Attraction in Bayonne

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

I reached out to this dance agency for classes for my daughter, asking them if they could give some accommodations as she is autistic and will need some extra support easing into a class.

They agreed to hop on a phone call and discuss and so I asked them for availability for that.

They not only never gave me any availability but when I asked to be removed from the system so I didn’t receive automated messages if no one was going to call me back, I was called aggressive and proceeded to deal with them repeatedly texted me arguing with me.

They claimed that they called me 5 times to talk to me.

They never answered me about availability so why would I assume they would be calling me? They never reached out and even said what day they would try to call. They never told me they would be calling me from a separate number that wasn’t even in our state. They never left a message telling me who they were. They never made any follow up texts after said call.

All of which is unprofessional. That is not how any professional business contacts a potential customer.

And then to proceed to call the potential client aggressive and argue with them on multiple texts is even more unprofessional.

Very glad I did not book my child classes here, if this is how they handle a simple request for availability for a phone call I can not imagine how they would handle any type of accommodations for an...

I am grateful to my friend Katy (coworker) and the free class that Latin Groove Dance Academy offered me because through that I dared to go take salsa and bachata classes. I had been wanting to learn to dance salsa for a long time and finally decided to go this past Saturday. Greetings to Javier, Julie and Jessica for the tremendous work they do to make us feel welcome and part of the group. From the moment I entered the dance school, Jessica (at the desk at the entrance) smiled and treated me as if she knew me. Then, I met Javier and Julie (teachers) and they also treated me as if we knew each other which made me feel comfortable. When I tell them that I have never danced salsa and in the first class I did one nonsense after the other, I did it but they patiently encouraged me and celebrated the steps I did well. I went with my daughter, but even if you don't bring a partner, the teachers dance with everyone and the partners rotate. This helped us feel comfortable with the group. I was so impressed with the patience, repetition of steps, and the good vibes that everyone gave me that my daughter and I signed up for salsa and bachata classes for beginners. I registered for a salsa class designed for beginners and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and inviting. As soon as I walked into the studio, the vibrant music filled the air, setting the perfect mood for learning this lively dance style. The instructors were not only skilled dancers but also patient and encouraging, making everyone feel comfortable regardless of their level of experience.

The instructor explained the basic steps, breaking them down into simple and easy-to-follow instructions. They took the time to ensure that everyone understood the movements and gave individual attention whenever needed. It was refreshing to be in an environment where everyone was supportive and genuinely happy to see each other progress.

Throughout the class, the instructors introduced new moves and combinations, gradually building upon the basics we had learned. They provided valuable feedback and offered tips to improve our technique. The energy was contagious, and I found myself completely immersed in the rhythm and...
