I was given the “opportunity” to work here for a full day (10 hour shift) when I was applying for jobs and the person who owns this restaurant was extremely unorganized a long with the rest of the co workers. She told me to come in and “try” just for me to waste my time and not get the job. She then got frustrated with me and talked down on me like I was slow at comprehending anything. I served 4 years for the marine corps and did private security for FEMA so I’m far from “slow”. I even told her I was looking to work regardless of the pay so I can finish college and also told her I don’t have much kitchen experience but will learn if given the chance to train. I guess people of her caliber do not understand what “disrespect” is. Then when the shift was over she told me that she couldn’t allow me to work because they don’t have the time to train people. Well I hope you never do get the chance to train anyone because of how impatient you are. Then she called my mothers cell phone number just to talk smack about me to her and my mother shut her down real quick because she caught on her to little tactic of trying to instigate. Towards the end of the night she asked an Indian lady who was the manager of that spot about me and she told her to not hire me. Do not allow people to work here just to not train them also you should change your Craigslist add under the description to “MUST HAVE KITCHEN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED”.
Also the co workers lied to me and said the meat was halal….it is definitely...
Read moreI think everyone needs to see this review…My recent visit to bb.q Chicken in Bayonne left much to be desired. Despite previous positive experiences with their chicken, this time was a letdown. I ordered honey garlic chicken, salt caramel boba, and ddeok bokki, only to find the boba subpar and the chicken flavorless and dry.
What added to the disappointment was the poor customer service. Despite encountering service issues in the past, I decided to give them another chance, only to be met with arguing from a staff member when I sought a refund or resolution. Promises of the owner contacting me to resolve the issue turned out to be false.
While bb.q Chicken might have had its moments in the past, this recent experience was far from satisfactory. For those seeking quality chicken, I would recommend looking elsewhere, such as Dallas BBQ, Tada, or another bb.q chicken spot that’s not this one. I’m relieved I didn’t entrust them with any special occasion orders as I had considered before. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this location based on my...
Read moreThe chicken is phenomenal. I cannot give a complaint in any sense when it comes to the chicken. I’ll be more than happy to wait 20 to 40 minutes for the chicken. As long as it comes out hot and good. The only issue that I’m having now from what I’m finding out they just finished raising prices and they have only been open less than two months, that’s the issue that I’m having on Uber eats and on GrubHub they have raise prices on their chicken 4 to 5 dollars extra… I was going to make this a frequent place to buy chicken, but after seeing them raise prices that’s not happening I understand with the economy, inflation and everything else but in less than two months you’re raising your prices there’s no justification for that. Honestly, I think Greed comes into play because unless in two months, you’re selling chicken hand and fist out, the door and sales are going great so you decide to get greedy and raise prices, but to each his own. Sorry, but I call it...
