Submitting another review after being a member for 5 years due to the deceiving practices of this establishment. I’ve only had wonderful things to say about this place so far, however they will lie to you to try and squeeze one more month of membership charges. I called in last month, exactly 30 days before my next charge, looking to cancel my membership because I was moving. I was told by the front desk that I could not use my points after canceling the membership, which based on another review here it is not true, but was never told that I would be charged another month if I did not cancel that day. If it had been clarified to me that it was either using my points or being charged for another month, I would’ve picked canceling the membership. I fear this information was purposefully omitted by the front desk person. The therapists and estheticians are wonderful, but I do not recommend signing up for the membership. The massage was good but the pressure was intense. I asked for a change in pressure and was told to breath into it (which can/did work). What they mean by “deep tissue” is intense pressure. Deep tissue is meant to cause discomfort when working tension, trigger points, etc, not pain. Massage is a customized body work session, if I need less pressure I have a right to afforded such. Not told to breath through it. There were three times I almost told her to stop the massage but kept going. I asked for CBD oil to be used, and it was applied to just my back, back of my arms and my neck and was charged $30 for it. The oil was only used for my estimates 10-20 minutes of the massage, only applied once. It was a decent massage but don’t think...
Read moreHand and Stone is a great massage therapy business with great therapists. It's very clean and smells really good inside. The front desk people are classy and very professional. This was my first massage here this weekend (on Sunday) with Danielle and I came out so relaxed and feeling great. She's the best massage therapist I've ever had. I went to the front desk and purchased a membership because I want to feel that great once a month by getting a relaxing massage. I also bought a gift card for my daughter to come to in and get a massage. Hand and Stone is way better than other massage places because they are on time, have appointments that actually fit your schedule, professional front desk associates, and care about their customers. Try for yourself, you'll love...
