There is a trail that connects to Woodstock farm (19th St), and Woodstock farm is across from the interurban trail. At low tide it is possible to walk along the northern shore to Clark’s Point. Requires either mud proof shoes OR the ability to shimmy along some rocks. Once you get to the railroad tracks there is a trail that goes over what the train tunnel goes under.
Clark’s point connects reasonably to Marine Park along the RR tracks (some sections there is a little trail.)
All this to say you can walk here and beyond along the shore from the city proper.

Read moreWhat a treasure trove for our toddlers! They loved this beach! So many small crabs, seashells, even sand dollars! You definitely need shoes here. There was a decent amount of glass as well. Parking lot was full but we found a spot a little ways down the road. The beach itself was quiet - we were the only ones there, as the other people were out on the water, past the train tracks -apparently there was a seal over there that everyone wanted to see. My kids definitely want to come back...
