Beltsville Branch Library, PGCMLS — Attraction in Beltsville

I've loved this place since I was a kid. Made the mistake of taking my toddler in the stroller on the long walk to the library only to find out they're not open right now, you must go online and reserve books and then there's a drive up service to pick up and drop off. This was online already, it's my fault for not checking first. Woman working was very sweet and explained it to me, she also gave me a large bookmark sized paper detailing how to properly get books on the future.

I hope it is able to open up soon, but that depends on all of us wearing our masks and those of us able to get vaccines need to actually get them! The library is a vital resource for many, especially those applying for jobs and those doing homework and research without internet service of their own. It is up to all of us to do our part to ensure vital institutions such as this are able to reopen and continue to help all...

I’ve been visiting this library for over 30 years and now I get to share the joy of peace and quiet with my own children.

Of course the library has been updated. There’s plenty of technology available for use. The selection of books is smaller but lends to an open space that lends you focus when reading and doing work.

There are collaboration spaces too!

Most importantly, the staff is friendly and approachable. I can’t wait for the snack area to open for those who may need to eat such as small children and diabetics. I’d also like to see charging stations as we all forget our chargers...

Our Beltsville Branch Library is a wealth of resources for all ages. There’s even a chess club for youngsters. Every member of the staff is top-notch with top rated library science education; ever eager and willing to assist. Prince George’s County must be very proud of this location, and the Executive Team commended for their commitment to excellence.
