Legacy Park — Attraction in Belvedere Park

A great place to enjoy the outdoors. Legacy Park is a place I truly enjoy — it’s spacious, peaceful, and perfect for walking, relaxing, or spending time with friends and family.

I especially love the soccer field and the track — they’re some of my favorite parts of the park. The bathrooms are also clean and spacious, which is always a plus.

However, I’ve noticed that the courts have been roped off lately and aren’t usable. I’m giving 3 stars for now, but I’ll gladly change it to 5 stars if they open the courts again. That area is a big part of what makes this park special.

Other than that, it remains one of my favorite spots...

What an incredible park! Decatur is really setting the standard for what community spaces should look like. Every neighborhood deserves a park like this—open, welcoming, and full of possibilities.

I’ll definitely be back to walk the trails, but today I got to use the beautiful soccer field to train one of my students who lives nearby. Grateful for spaces like these that bring us together and give our youth room to grow....

I liked this place better years ago when nobody knew it was there. The encroachment of people bothers me but still a seren lovely place. I use to pick up an orphan from this location 30 years ago. I give her a ride to soccer practice. My how times have changed. I often wonder if she ever returns for a visit. No longer...
