Decatur Legacy Park — Attraction in Decatur

I live in the original Legacy Park in Kennesaw (est. 1992), a park-like suburb about 20 miles northwest of Atlanta, and I'm very disappointed the developers and leadership of Decatur decided it was ethical to use the name of our community for their development.

There are an infinite number of names to choose from, and many that could originate from Decatur's rich history, so why use the exact same name of an established ~25 year old neighborhood less than 35 miles away? It will undoubtedly confuse future home buyers who mistake one for the other while...

We held our baby shower in Hawkins Hall at Decatur Legacy Park. The team was easy to work with, the hall was priced very well, and the space was perfect for our event. Parking was easy, and our guests all said that they loved the venue. The Hall is a tasteful blank canvas that we were able to transform to fit our needs, and the addition of kitchen access and tables and chairs made set up very easy. Would definitely host an event at Decatur...

Lovely park with cross-crossing trails, some uphill, and a pond. Plenty of benches and lounge chairs at the main entrance side. Several wide open areas, a playground, and all around beautifully maintained grounds.
