I was pleased to see that there was actually a place that gave the opportunity for dogs to get some off leash time on road trips. Before I let my pack out I did a quick peek in the park to make sure it was safe - free of mud, all the kinds of things you don’t want your dog getting into on a long trip. After letting them out on the large dog sided area it became clear that there was ALOT of glass shards on the paved patch of concrete. I immediately put them back into the car. Paw cuts and injuries are no joke and unfortunately, this place was not safe when it came to that! The small dog area looked to be in better condition. I will say even for the small amount of time I let them run they really enjoyed it. Poo bags were provided and was very convenient. A good stop... just be careful with the glass on...
Read moreI just moved here and was super excited to have such a nice dog park nearby. However after 4 visits we won't be returning. Each time I have picked up shards of glass. And on the last visit I realized the ground just sparkles with glass under the trees, every size from the entire bottom from a beer bottle, to a small pebble of glass, to several inch long daggers. Not going to risk me or my dog getting impaled. Super unfortunate, it's nice aside from that. Also, glad that there are handicap parking spots, however the gates are not accessible. Read moreIt is really nice that this part exists. I believe it is part of a dog friendly Hampton Inn there. It has separate sections for small and large dogs which is good. But I cannot get over the fact that some owners don't pick up after their dogs even though the bags and trash containers are provided. Because of these owners pets are discriminated against and often are not allowed in the hotel or the flights. I would have cameras installed there and not only charge those owners a hefty fine but force them to pick up with their hands....
