It is pretty much as glorious as you would ever hope or imagine it to be. Like the place was so magnificent, and had a huge huge main area for classes and then a secondary warehouse side for professional athletes to train. Everything was perfectly branded and polished and perfectly put in place and organized and every piece of equipment was fantastic from the barbells to the barbell clips to the barbell plates to the cardio pieces to the rig. Everything was actually worth dropping in just to see perfect perfection at its finest.
But that actually wasn't the five star part. I did one class and I feel like I got more specific training cues and lifting cues than I have received in a long time. Coached by a coach named Mitch and he was fantastic, very specific and very detailed with the entire group and each individual. And I got detailed coaching throughout the workout - so not just at one point in the process.
In the last thing I would say was this might be specific for the workout I dropped in on but it was an alternate version of a semifinals workout in which Tia set a top time so the whole workout class was poised and questioned if we could beat Tia's time with whatever scaling option fit our situation, so it was actually super motivating to have a target set by a world champion and then just scale appropriately and go for it.
If you like Crossfit I would say top to bottom, start to finish it was definitely an experience worth taking advantage of if you are in the area.
And yes - I did beat Tia. 17:54 - take that, GOAT. (At a fraction of weight and distance she did, to be clear) 5 Rnds for Time (My scales - curbed by knee ailment) 1200m...
Read moreI've been a member of PRVN for just over 2 months, and it's the best fitness community I've ever experienced. If you're worried about needing to be an elite athlete or finding CrossFit too intense, I hope my story helps put those fears to rest.
After a 10-month break from fitness, my fitness and health was a shadow of my former self, and miles away from my ideals. I was hesitant to join any gym, let alone, the gym where Tia Claire Toomey trains, but PRVN's coaches and community welcoming and supportive environment quickly made the PRVN a staple of my daily routine. The biggest benefit from PRVN's elite coaching staff, is their ability to use their expertise and experience to appropriately tailor workouts to your needs and skill level. On top of that, the community at PRVN is made up of some of the friendliest people I have met in the Nashville area, everyone has been encouraging, and has provided the daily motivation to push myself to reach my fitness goals.
Joining PRVN has been the best thing I didn't know I needed. Whether you're a beginner or aiming for a spot at the 2025 games, PRVN is the ideal place to start or continue...

No matter if you work out at 5am or 4:30pm the coaches are always welcoming and make sure they give you that one on one personal coaching even in a large class without being the sole focus like personal training. The positivity is always there and the atmosphere is always encouraging! CrossFit is for everyone and even if your new to fitness in general PRVN is the best place to start because the coaching staff makes sure you hit your goals no matter how small those goals may be! I even have arthritis in my knees but they have never felt as healthy as they do after I started CrossFit! I can fit the workout to my goals each day depending on how my knees feel. Mitch, JT, Amy, and all of the other coaches have so much knowledge and experience that they can help with any adjustments or modifications needed each day! The space is huge, the equipment is top tier and by far one of if not the nicest gym I’ve been to! I love...
