I took 2 rings to this man based on the great reviews he had. I knew that both were cz's set in 10k gold. The very 1st thing he said was "clorox". You've had these in clorox. Well, that was true. I've never removed my rings to clean, but I've also never been told that clorox damages gold. I've since read that it's true. However, the next thing he said was, these aren't expensive rings. To that, my response was, it depends on your budget. I wasn't asking for an appraisal, just wanted to know if he could repair. 1 ring he said he could not repair. The other had 2 prongs that were broken & the stone had come out. He said he could fix & it would take an hour. I told him I was on my way to an appointment and I would be back after but it may take a little longer than an hour. When I came back he said, oh you came back! You owe me $20 bucks. I was not offered a receipt for my payment. I noticed after I got in my car to leave that the 2 new prongs were higher than the original. But didn't go back in to ask about it because, frankly he didn't impress me with his "niceness or courteousness" that I had read about in the reviews. I took a picture of my gold diamond ring right before I went in to get it sized for my finger. I only buy real diamond rings from the pawn shop, I have them to test the diamond with a diamond tester, this way I know it is real. I also take my rings to Coin Castle to make sure the rings are legit. Jose kept my ring over the weekend because he said he lost a gold piece off of the ring. Julio is a blessed giving comedian. His accent and conversation make u feel like family. I originally went to Gifts and gadgets for them to install a watch battery in father's watch.
