Coulson Park is a bit primitive today, but with some beautiful views. Plans were being developed to enhance the land and views, for wide public use.
Wait ! A Master Plan was indeed developed for Coulson Park. Estimated cost was about $16 million. But, Billings could not get its act together. Blame was placed on COVID; yeah, that was part of the problem. But the real problem was lack of leadership.
Billings has absolutely NO leadership. The City could not plan its way out of a wet paper bag. The Mayor and the entire City Council simply react. Often their reaction is to do nothing.

Read moreThis park turned out to offer a lot more than I originally thought, there are some bathrooms (little risky though), a boat ramp, a good amount of places to have a picnic or just hang out for the day and places to fish right off the Yellowstone river bank. There is an area of trees by the front of the park that had a large amount of birds singing. It sounded like a aviary with all the different birds, I want to go back just to check out how many birds I can find and photograph.
