Ink Mob Studios — Attraction in Birmingham

I got a rune style tattoo last year in July, it was my first tattoo so I was super excited to get it done. It was from a band called Sleep Token and in their language got a tattoo that says Worship. My partner designed most of the accents of the tat so I was very excited to have 2 of my favorite things tatted on me. Tattooing process was great, clean studio, awesome vibes. He gave me a aftercare sheet of which I followed and after about a month it seemed to have healed. Then I noticed that the tattoo was done poorly. The first major thing I noticed was, it wasn't placed the way he asked me, it was upside reversed, it was supposed to be read left to right but instead the w rune is on the right side meaning on my arm it reads pihsrow instead of worship. Secondly, the lines are all inconsistent, some lines are darker than others, details are missing from the original design some lines don't even meet up, and something that people could say was user error was the fact the bottom half of the tattoo has faded drastically, to a point where I can see my skin underneath the black ink.

I wasn't going to say anything as I won't get anything out of this since, understandably tattoos are non refundable, however I just wanted to share my experience with this shop, I've heard great things about the owner of the shop, but the guy who tattooed me, wasn't...

I am currently in the process of getting a tattoo I got here back in the early part of February covered up. I don't like leaving bad reviews but, thought it over and felt like people should know what to expect going here.

They don't show you the placement of how the stencil is going to lay. If they even show what they have drawn at all to you and change certain details/missing some without even discussing it with you. They just start and it's too late to even say anything after a certain point.

Then, if that isn't a bad enough. They also overworked it and a ton of ink fell out making it look blotchy and already needs a touch up. I have six tattoos already, I know they don't feel great but that session was the worse pain I ever felt from getting an tattoo. I'll be glad not ever having to look at this tattoo again this upcoming Friday.

I gave them two stars because at least they were clean and didn't reuse needles, wiped down everything before starting. I didn't get any infections and makes sure to follow the aftercare afterwards so a coverup could be possible in the future. But,...

Cliff did my tattoo and I hated the entire experience. Showed him exactly what I wanted and thought he understood but once he put the stencil on it was nothing like my inspiration pics. When I told him he got upset that he had to remove the stencil and literally huffed and puffed like a child. Coincidentally my tattoo looks like something a child could’ve drawn and I will definitely be looking into getting it covered. I honestly think he knew he f’d up because he didn’t even bother to show me the tat. He told my bf to take a pic of it...
